my son also is 7/290. I have received letters. They went across the street (wrong address) but I got it. I know this is late, but I really hope you've gotten a letter by now.
no letter yet. maybe this next week. hopefully he went to church today to recharge his spirit. i got an emergency call, he was too distraught and concerned he has a sick grandpa here so they had pity on him this pass monday and let him call. so i'm praying he was conforted enough to push through all that.

Yes i'm going to be there. that's the last thing he said on his call, mom please be here sept 1, please mom. yeah ok how can i not?!?!?

My boyfriend is 290. Hoping for a letter this week! I know I have my hopes up because I am just convinced they got to write today (sunday) for the first time.
Are y'all friends on facebook with Recruit Training Command? Every Tuesday at 10AM central time (11 AM for me!) they post a trivia question that can be answered by studying up the RTC website - the site they post the graduation dates. Whoever is the first to answer the question right FIRST gets to choose a DIV and RTC will post pictures of the DIV on facebook!! So, let's all study up tonight so that we can win tomorrow! RTC also posts pictures randomly of DIVs throughout bootcamp- It is so fun looking for them!

Hi how does this work. This is great. So if I answer a question first and its right, I get to pic my sons div for a pic to be posted?? Ok....I am hyped now. ,My son is 7/290..Where are the ladies of this div. I would love to see his div right about now. I guess I need to study this site then huh??

I'n new to this too but my son is in division 07 290,,,alos...in his letter today he told me how everyone there is really bonding so it makes it a little easier on all of them. =)
I am sure going to try and win. I would love to see a pic of our DIV. Need to see my son lol

how did i find this div on FB?? I want to friend them. I need to see a pic of my son too..lol!

Wow, I am so glad to connect with 7/290 gorup!! I have been going nuts. Well I am told no news is good news. This is week three and I am praying for that phone call so I will know how he is doing. I will know what to pray for and have peace about how he is doing. No letter yet. Hopefully this week. My mailman knows he is in the Navy. So he knows I am stalking him everyday hoping to hear something. He says he understands, he was in the Navy himself. He says its a great experience and once the kids make it through bootcamp, it will be better. This is encouraging to hear! My husband and I plan on being at the grad on 9/1. Hope to meet some of you moms there, but I know we all will be so excited to see our Sailors, it will be hard to give everyone else attention. Ladies, all I can say is keep the faith!! I have been praying for our div everyday. I beleive they all are going to do well. I try to sound uplifting when I write and tell him congratulations for making it through another week! They will soon be a the half-way mark next week. Time is flying by so fast. I still feel sad but not as bad as the first 2-3 days when he left. We miss him so much, but this is the best thing for him and we support his decision and want him to do exceedingly well. Again keep the faith and know they are going to be fine.
I will be there at the PIR on 9/1
I got 2 letters today!!! So excited to finally hear from my son!! I am going to try my hardest to win Tuesday Trivia so we can all see our SR's on Ship 07 DIV 290!!!!!
