N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Great full to have gotten to talk with my son today . I keep thinking about me asking him if there were kids not getting letters and he said a friend of his was not at all and he was pretty down about it , made the comment that his parents were just real busy . I said "let me get his info to send him a card "but my son thinks that's a bad idea and would make him feel worse.im just angry at parents that would be "to busy to send a child a note of encouragement "I know that you mothers on this site love your kids and miss them as much as I do ,and I'm sad all sailors don't have that.

943 says if they pass their next inspection they get an extra phone call and a candy bar this week. But she didn't know when and she wasn't sure they could get a perfect inspection yet but they will try hard. Also she said because of training schedules their calls will lost likely be Sunday afternoons because apparently Saturday's have extra training for 900 divisions. - this info is not in stone.... It's just passed on to me by my sailor recruit to give us an idea when we might get calls.

Blessed Sunday!

"And this is my prayer that your love may abound

more and more in knowledge and depth of insght,

so that you may be able to discern what is best

and may be pure and blameless until the day

of Christ, filled with the fruit of rigteousness that

comes through Jesus Christ -- to the glory and

praise of God."

Good Morning!

James mom, All recruits have watch at some point during the week. Standing watch would include "guarding" doors, walking decks (halls), etc. There is always someone on duty at various points in the ship 24/7.

While they are on duty they cannot leave, and if their watch interferes with phone bank time they don't get to call. Making up a "missed call", and when/if it will happens, is totally up to the RDCs,
