Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 337 and 338

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi - My son is Ship 3 Div 338 and my husband and I will be driving. I had a very brief phone call with him last night. The first 7 minutes were to his fiancé. He seems to be doing OK. Just anxious to get through with training.
Hi Lucy2013, my son too is on Ship 3, DIV 338. Where are you driving from? We are coming from Sacramento, Ca.
Hi Lynn, we're driving from San Antonio, Tax. We've made the drive a few times. My husband has familiy in Michigan.

Hi all...  My son is on Ship 03 Div 337 and graduates on 9/6/2013.  I'm trying to decide on hotel-- I'm leaning toward Navy Lodge...?? Suggestions or information you'd like to share?  Where can I find out more about who Sarge is and what information he offers?  We will be driving in from Southeast Arkansas-- about 11-12 hours.  I'm looking forward to seeing our Sailors graduate!!!  I can't wait to see my son... I've been so emotional since he left!

Hi my son Evan is in your son's group. We are from PA. I am flying in with my brother and family.he booked a hotel but wished it was closer. Ev is going to A school what about yours?
Hi Kelley B. my son is in DIV 338 and also will graduate Sept 6th. We are staying at Sleep Inn Lake Bluff. It's the only closest hotel to the base. And they have a shuttle. Navy lodge has a Taxi service . Sarge is great and has a awesome meet n greet as to what I have read and heard. Lemonelephant has so much info she gives out. Search for her and she has lists n lists of great information. Sept 6th can't come soon enough as I have been a mess and tears always flowing .

Hi Lynn...  I'll check out Sleep Inn Lake Bluff... Thank you for the information... I'm looking forward to meeting everyone as well!!!!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with tears...  I'm happy for my son!!  I'm so excited for him and I want him to be soooo happy!!!  I think my tears are because he won't be the same "kid" when I see him next.  AND I think my tears stem from the fact that he is my youngest child and this chapter of my life is ending.  I have an eleven year old step daughter--but she has a mom and even though we have a great relationship, it's different.  I'm not the same mom anymore...I guess I'm grieving the end of childhood even though I'm excited about my next chapter of mom...  Anyway, I'm glad to know, the tears are basically normal, no matter the situation... thank you...

Oh my God... My story is like yours. My husband is my second marriage and he has a ten years old daughter. It's not the same... I totally understand you....
Hi KelleyB, my son is Ship 03 Div 338. We're staying at the Ramada at the rate of $89 per night. They also have a meet & greet the evening of the 5th.

Hi Lucy2013!!  Thank you for the information... It looks like I need to check out a couple more places to stay!!

I just made my reservation at sping hill by Marriott.... I liked the hotel photos and is just 5' from the base
I can't wait to meet everyone... Bring lots of tissue and pass up on the makeup as it will run off I'm sure !
