Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 944
Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Has anyone with a SR in this division heard from them either by phone or letter?
Hi ladies....no letter or call for me yet. Trying to be patient :-(
I haven't heard from my SR daughter (Ship 02, Div 944), either. I saw on the FB group page (900 Division - Great Lakes, IL - US Navy) that our SRs are practicing the 'State Flags' drill for upcoming PIRs. Due to their added drill training, it may be difficult for them to call or write as much as the other SRs :(
On a positive note: Since the PIRs are 'LIVE' streamed every Friday, our SRs will be in the two PIR dates prior to 9/13 as well as their own PIR. (I believe the PIRs are recorded & 'saved' on the web-site for an additional week or two after).

May GOD keep our SRs in his favor.
My oldest son was in a 900 division. It is so exciting to watch them perform. I was so pleased that my SR was placed in that division. Waiting for that first contact is always so hard. I am sure they are busy. It is a good thing we have each other to lean on. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
I hope you heard from your SRs yesterday!!! My daughter called at 3:19pm and we were able to talk for 26 minutes. She sounded happy and excited (and a little homesick too). She said they were able to write letters last week for about 30-40 minutes which were mailed. AWESOME!
I received a letter yesterday from my daughter, post-marked 8/4. She put two letters in the envelope, one for me and one for her brother (who's shipping out late Sept for Navy Bootcamp). I hope you've received letters from your SRs!
