I'm glad you started this discussion! How are your sailors doing? My son seems to like San Antonio. I've talked to him twice now. He sounds really tired. I've been praying for him!
My son arrived there on Saturday and I am glad you created this group, I couldn't find one specific to our graduation date and for the ones that went to Texas. My son seems to like it so far too. I have mostly heard from him by text but it's better than it was at Boot Camp. I rec'd his graduation photos yesterday and they turned out really good. I miss him still but its different and he has definately matured alot through this process.
I think their Corpsman graduation date is 01-23. But, my son said not to buy tickets for a while. He said they could hold him back a week or so. A school is prob even tougher?
Hi all, I am so glad you all joined me here.. talked to mine a little bit on Sunday, he said it was raining.. he texted me some last night, bought a video game to play on his laptop and it wouldnt play right.. I think mine maybe a little bored.. LOL he texted me today at work asking if I transfered his phone bill to him yet.. I told him to call me and I am still waiting on that call..I think he isnt wanting to have a bill to pay...Does anyone know an "Owens"? My son and him went to BC together, made friends, and now they are rooming together.. He is happy about that..
my son did same thing, today he and his room mate bought a vacuum cleaner :))
Yay! So happy you started this discussion group :) seems like my Sailor is actually a lot closer to me now, because he has his phone with him! He just got a laptop, too, so we get to Skype :) Can't wait to visit him at some point!
Hi all,
We took our son's laptop to him at the airport with his phone. I agree, it is so much easier being able to talk/text him now. We are thinking about taking a trip to SanAntonio for Thanksgiving.. he said that they might have leave to come home for Christmas but isnt sure yet.. Hope you all are doing well...
I was thinking about going down there sometime in November as well! I will have to read more about where to stay and such... I don't really know how to process works. Let me know if you know anything about it!
My Sailor also said that he will be able to come home for Christmas.. apparently for two weeks! Starting December 16th. That is all he has "heard" so far - definitely not 100% sure of that. Seems great to me though :)
what a cute bunny.. hi right back at ya...
