Hello. I'm the mom of an SR in this division. Anyone on here have children in the same division? This is my second experience with the military. My son is a Marine. My mom and I are planning our trip to Great Lakes and are just looking around on this site for helpful information and tips. So far, we've found a ton of info! You all are the best! Anyway......thanks.

Hi Angie! Thanks for the reply. Is there a specific place on this site for our ship and division - other than where I am posting this message? New to this .... sorry.
Hi KellyCali-I have a daughter in ship 12/div 295 I understand they are joined. I also have a step son there in ship2/div 944. They left the same day.
Oh cool. I didn't realize that the divisions had joined.
THAT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER TO HEAR THEY COMBINE 2 DIV. MY SON SAID THERE WERE SEVERAL OF THE RECRUITS NOT DOING VERY WELL. SO NONE OF THEM GET TO CALL HOME BECAUSE THAT IS A REWARD.
My son is Ship 12 Div 295. Brother Div to 296. Also traveling to Great Lakes with my Mom.
Great! Where are you staying? We're staying at the Navy Lodge. Trying to find out what my SR wants to do while we're in town.
We are staying at Courtyard by Marriott. Are you attending Sarge's Meet & Greet on 9-13-12? I have a feeling my SR will want to have some social media time on his phone & laptop. We are going to just see what he feels like doing when we leave graduation. I told him we would do whatever he wants. Whether it is hang out at the hotel or go out to see the area. I don't care if I just watch him catch up on sleep. I am just so anxious to see him!
I've heard about the Meet & Greet briefly - where and when is it? We are flying in on the 13th. I am very anxious to see my girl, too!
We(my husband, son and parents) are also staying at the Navy Lodge. We aren't sure what we will do after Graduation either. Kind of figure we will give the kids some options and let them figure it out. We are going to Sarges meet and greet on thursday too.
