OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

456- welcome to the crazy MOMsterness! We're all beside ourselves waiting to see them and waiting for that call! Stay close! Won't be long now!

Iknow! Got butterflies already!

We're told that calls usually don't begin until around 2pm GL time. Keeping the phone charged on on loud!

I am getting nervous, should be around 2 Great Lakes time now right? It's 1 here in Ga.

Thanks!! I had it backwards, not uncommon for me haha.

Glad your hubby got the call! Whoo Hoo ! Now we can sleep! lol Right!

Oh I wish I would have joined this group earlier! So much great info! My son is Austin and he is ship 14/div 290. I'm not a big commenter but I 've read everyone's replies and posts and comments! I am so excited about Friday! I can't remember any other time in my life when I was this excited! (ok, maybe when they were all born, but you get my point!) we aren't able to leave from Cincy until my daughter gets home from school so probably won't make it in time for meet and greet but would love to meet all at PIR! From what I understand they seat us in sections according to division so I'll be the one waving at all the mom's I've never actually met and crying the whole time! Lol. Btw- got my call last week that he finished up BS! I cried like a baby. Told him to hang on cuz I cpuldn't speak cuz I was crying! He said 'take your time Mom! I knew you would!' lol. Gotta go pack and make sure my directions are clear and correct! Can't wait to see my boy and meet all you moms!
