OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 293 and 294

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So proud of our girls! Can't wait to get our first letter.

Hello! Our son is in Div 293--I look forward to keeping in touch with you all and hearing any other bits of info about Div 293/Div 294 that you hear :) Hoping for a phone call this weekend or a possible letter. God Bless you all!

Hi my son is in Div 294...So proud of him making this very adult decision at 18! Can't wait to see him at PIR. Got my first letter from him a few days ago, so excited!

Hello, My son is on Div 294 I am so Proud and anxious to see him !!

Also have a son in div 294!
Got a call from my daughter this evening. She is in div 294. She said it would be her last call for a while. Said "hell week" was starting and they would be busy. Said tomorrow starts week 3 day 1 (processing week isn't included in count). Each week has 5 days (Sat/Sun not included). She said they did really well on their academic tests and received a flag. (Not sure what that is but she was happy. Said to keep letters coming that they look forward to the mail every night. Almost halfway through! Can't wait to see her!

My son is also on div 294 , I got a call yesterday as well, he told me about the flag they received for doing well on the academic test. I am very proud ! They are anxious to get letter I bought various cards and try to send 1 each day, so he get something from me every day.

I don't know about you, but it is really hard for me to listen to how tired her voice sounds. She says she is fine but I can her the homesickness and exhaustion there. I want to run down there and get her. Mama bear takes over. Lol...I am very proud of them. She said that was their third flag. They must be doing well. She is a section leader for the females...said she gets yelled at for what other people do. That has to get old. I am trying to send letters everyday too. I wish there was more we could do.

You are correct ! The same happens to my son , we as mother know our kids when they are sad and happy, Mine is also homesick & has a cold, We can be talking about anything and suddenly he start saying Mom I miss you so much I am happy to hear your voice and I can notice that he is almost crying. I try to be strong not to cry . He told me that they get yelled and have to do push ups at for what other do. He is my only son and this is the first time we separate, I know is as hard for him as for me. But we have to let them built their own experience in life. I hope these weeks goes fast.

Hi, my son is in div 294, we also got the call last week on a Wednesday that hell week was coming up, hope they are all doing ok! I have missed all his calls ( so bummed about that) so it was only a message but still good to hear from him.

Cute Kitty

I know that No news is Good news ! But I miss to hear my son voice.  The last time was Wednesday 13th. I haven't received any letters either. I am anxious :(
