Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 03 (USS Hopper) Divisions 353 and 354 (Sister and Brother Divisions)

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 353 and 354

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

The Navy Exchange Photographic Services at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes offers each graduating recruit the opportunity to purchase division and individual photographs, a division Cruise Book, which highlights the Recruits’ Boot Camp experiences from Night of Arrival to Graduation Day and a DVD of the Recruit Pass-In-Review Ceremony.

Photographs and cruise books may be purchased only by the recruit prior to their graduation from boot camp; however, if your recruit did not order a DVD of PIR, the Navy Exchange Photographic Services Office will accept orders on the day of graduation.

Please verify with your recruit that a DVD has not been ordered by them prior to placing your request.

To order a DVD of your Recruit's PIR, please contact the Navy Exchange Photographic Services Officer at (847)578-6205 and provide the following information:
                Recruit's Name                 Division Number                 Date of Pass-In-Review Ceremony                 Return Address (Sorry, No P.O. Box or Overseas Addresses Please)                 Daytime Phone Number

Your recruit can pay for the pictures either by deducting from their pay, using any balance on their recruit card, etc.  I believe that you can now pay for them after PIR at the photo lab if I remember correctly.

Look at what is posted on the RTC FB page. It is Division 354!!

Do you think that is the whole division of 354?  We looked this over with a fine tooth comb and do not see our son...anyone else that happen to?

CNKAZ, It is possible that your son may have had duty and was not present, and believe it or not he may be there and you just don't "find" him.

Does anyone know how to watch the PIR online?  I have family that would like to watch my Sailor :) since they won't be able to attend.

HI again, Ktremom!  Congratulations on your new Sailor!

I actually tried viewing the PIR ceremony on-line a few weeks ago.  It was incredible!!

(If you put your mouse curser over the screen, you will see a little button labeled “FULL.”  If you press this, the image will enlarge to fit your computer screen!)

Coverage of the ceremony will begin at 8:45 AM (CST) on Friday, September 20, 2013.

There will be a slide show until the actually ceremony that begins promptly at 9:00 AM (CST).  It lasted until about 10:30 AM.

It is really nice - I know that a lot of our family will be watching it on-line, too!!

Hope to finally meet you in person next Friday!!
