Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 359 and 360
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Another Nuke in the Division...that's cool! Looks like there are several of them heading to Charleston after BC. Depending on where you live in Florida, you may be relatively close for a visit when your son is in A school and beyond. That's great! Are you heading up to the graduation on 9/20?
I am not sure if I am going to the 9/20 PIR - that is the date - but there are a LOT of extenuating circumstances that might keep me from going (He might want his GF to bring his daughter - which means I will not be on his list) I hope to go--- I want to go --- but I may not have a choice.
I live in Central Florida - (near Daytona) - and I hope to get a visit or two in there!!!
I'm from Jacksonville, FL :) but my SR isn't in the Nukes program.
Hi all, my son is on SHIP 12, DIV 360, I made reservations last night, at a Waukegan hotel.
Exciting...isn't it? I cannot wait for 9/20 to come! I made my reservations as well. Can't wait to see all those handsome sailors in their dress whites!
Six weeks to graduation, ladies...our SR are 25% of the way through their Basic Training! Yay!
Has anyone heard from their Division 359 loved one yet?
Nothing yet from mine. I sort of have the impression that those who've received letters/calls are in the divisions with lower numbers 351, 352... and that maybe they've been there about a week longer than our kids? I'd have to go back through all the messages to check for sure though :) Mine left the 23rd of July so I think he probably hasn't hit week 3 yet and maybe that's why there's been no news. Maybe we'll get calls tomorrow
I received a phone call yesterday about 1 p.m. I had 20 minutes to talk to my SR. It was so nice to hear from him. He said the commander of their division was known as one of the most strict and that because there are a lot of disrespectful recruits in the division, the whole group as a whole pays for it.
Any moms whose sons are ship 12 div. 331 PIR sep 6th. Off to florida f or A school
Hi Sylvia-
My name is Sandy and my son, Dylan, is also staying in GL for A school. I'm glad you got a phone call from your SR. It is heartfelt when you hear their voice. Dylan is on Ship 12 Div 359 but I think it's close to your SR. Best wishes to you and your family. I hope we can all meet at PIR:)
