My daughter is in Ship 2 Division 945. I'm so excited that we finally have a group. So has our PIR date been set for 9/21/12?

Just got our letter today and my daugher is in the same Ship/Division/PIR!!  I'm so glad to know someone else has chimed in that is in the same group. It's exciting to see that we have a group....just seems to make it more official.  Now, hurry up September and get here!

Our daughter is also Ship 2 division 945...the letter we received did say PIR is 9/21

Hi Whitney's Mom, I'm Kimberley's mom , her boyfriends mom resonded for me as I was not approved yet. I,m glad that Whitney is doing better. Kim has always been there to help when someone is down, God Bless her. I havn't received a letter yet, hope soon. Thank you again for the info and i'll keep Whitney in my prayer along with all of the 945. Good nite

Cookies...a cold beverage...a hug??!! Down, mama bear, down...! LOL your mailman will need to be your new BFF for a while!

Hey, hubby is law enforcement...donuts...actually he does like them "fat pills"! He just doesn't eat them that much because of that!

Your letter is not to far behind the box hopefully!

I got my letter :-) I got my letter :-) Mailman is safe. Lemonade and cookies does wonders. (Even if the lemonade was hot. He did not get here till 4:45 today.)

Got my letter today. My son's Ship 02 Div 945 also!

So exciting to see other moms in Division 945. Somebody said 945 is a performing division. What does that mean exactly? Anybody know?

It is the division for the Band, Choir, Drill Team, Flag Carriers etc. They also work behind the scenes at PIR and other ceremonies. They will most likely be performing at a couple of PIRs before theirs.

That's awesome. I'm so proud of my girl. I can't wait for September. Thanks for the info.

Mine is in the same ship and division. And I feel kinda sad knowing moms have received calls and letters. I am in Hawaii and I guess I should understand more about mail being slower to get here. Calls, well I may not get it yet since his phone card was sent back home with his other post cards. I was dumbo not to break the card and insert it in his wallet. Just some details I missed out, bummed. My only child who growed up fast, missing, wanting to get a glimps of him in the 900 division in facebook. I think I'm the one who is depressed more. Probably won't be able to attend the PIR too, since we don't know if he has time off before A school. Sigh.. going to choke crying. Just waiting... and waiting.. I wish him well and your kids too.

Thanks to moms here with their posts. It does feel good reading them. Knowing my child is with yours as well.

worried mom - don't worry, we're here to help and support each other!  My daughter is in the same ship/div as your son.  She took 3 phone cards with her and I checked her wallet and they were not in there, so I'm assuming she has them with her.  I'll be glad to tell her to share with others that might not have a way to call home.  I know we're not supposed to pass along names on here, but if you want to send me a message with his last name only, I'll be glad to pass it along to her in a letter.

And, we're planning on going to graduation, I'll be glad to pass along a huge congrats and hug to your son, as well!

Hang in there, we're all in the same boat, or in this case, ship!  :)
