for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

The letter came! Ship 11 Div 318 includes a loved one!
Glad you will be in the right group then, momRN! Be sure to book Navy Lodge in your SR's name if you do not have your own military ID.
Also, for those who may think Navy Lodge is on base, it is not. It is about a mile or so from RTC, in the housing area. It is not walkable to RTC....so plan to drive or take the shuttle that Navy Lodge offers.
Good Morning!
diannep: Thank you for the information. I am planning on staying at the Navy Lodge, making reservations tonight, for the 18th. Almost made them for the 25th but N4M gave me the correct date so THANK YOU!!!
momRN: The recruiter can't do much about the form letter. However, we can provide you with the info on here. Just not the gate pass password, but your SR wrote that in the form letter so your SR can also give it to you. People panic if they don't have the password for the gate pass, but actually if you take a shuttle from your hotel, no gate pass is needed. Or you can park off base at the train station which is right near the RTC front gate. The gate pass is only for cars driving on base.
Just to let you all know....ellen will be starting discussion groups on here for each division/brother division in the next couple of weeks. You can get to know each other in those smaller groups, but in the meantime, if you see someone join here who has someone in your division, friend request them and talk by private message where you can share more personal details like your SR's name.
I am losing hope on the box, called fedx and they have no package in route to my address or so they have said. She told me the only way to find it is to have the tracking number, which I do not have. I am more worried that the form letter has not arrived. The mail here is horrible, they have lost many items on me already and then they show up 6 months later..I am glad to get the info on here. If I do not have a form letter by next week I will contact the recruiter and I know he will help me. Thanks for all the help I so appreciate it.
