Howdy y'all! I'm really enjoying this site, loads of information and good discussion.

Not to off set myself from the moms or anything (you guys are great!), but I'd really like to get in touch with other significant others of SRs who are in the same boat (specops/same PIR date). I feel like the experience of being a girlfriend of an SR is probably a little different than that of a parent. I have found the group on N4M for girlfriends, but this seems like an appropriate place to reach out to too.

I have been talking to another girlfriend of an SR and we were discussing the possibility of having our own little "youngster" meet up while we're up there for PIR.  It would be lovely to meet some others like us!

Hi ladies - my son is in 820 and his girlfriend is traveling from Texas with us to PIR.  I am sure she would love to meet some of yall while we are in Great Lakes.  I will encourage her to join Navy Mom's - any of yall with SRs going into Pre Buds?

We are going to Sarge's on Thursday night - we will be with a BIG group - we have 6 that will be there supporting our SR.

Hi, my boyfriend will be going into Pre Buds. You should get her to get on here, it's great. I will also be at the Sarge's Thursday along with my boyfriends family.

We (TX Navy GF and myself) arrive Thurs evening and we are going to try to get to Sarge's meet and greet if there are no travel or traffic issues. We would love to meet your son's GF! If she does join Navy for Mons tell her she is more than welcome to message me!!

If by chance we don't make it in time to the meet and greet, it might be fun to get together between PIR and their check in to Pre BUD/S / A school, whatever. I'm not sure of a good way to get in touch with people without giving out too much personal information. Maybe I'll just post an update on this thread when we decide when/where we'll be after PIR? I hope everyone has access to a smart phone or computer :)  2 days 'til we hop those planes! I can't wait!

SO excited!!

Hey guys, dunno if anyone is checking this but TN Navy JS and I are planning to wait for our Seamen at the Visitor Center this afternoon . We'll probably be there around 1:30 or two.  If anyone wants to say hi, I'll be in the navy blue dress with the white cardigan, pink purse :)
