For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 04 (USS Arleigh Burke) Division 821
Welcome to the discussion group for division 821.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

ANOTHER letter!! That's 3this week I feel so blessed!! 1week away until we see our boys! I'm seeing calls are already starting to come in to other divisions! Hoping to get one later today:)

Cannot wait for Friday!
We were on a plane when our son called with his "I'm a sailor" call :(
Hoping he will be able to call again, anyone know if he will?
We really want to know what he needs/wants us to bring him. What have you all been asked for?
Also, I know this sounds silly, but, what does one wear to PIR?
Looking forward to meeting some of you, I'll be the one crying with joy and hugging my son endlessly, oh wait... perhaps that will be all of us? :)

I am not sure if they will get another call. All we were asked to bring was his cell phone and charger. I cannot wait either, cannot get her fast enough. I am not sure what to wear, but we had shirts made that says "Proud Navy Mom, Proud Navy Sister and Proud Navy Niece" I have seen pictures online and people are in jeans, business casual dress.

What an incredible weekend!...Spent quality time with my sailor, and he received the Navy League Award...I am so incredibly proud. Thanks to everyone for the support during BC, I couldn't have done it without all of you.

Our son calls every evening now. It is great to get frequent updates. He is happy with the new conditions including cell phone use, and other liberties. He also is enjoying the training.
