yes i have a daughter who is in this group..finally someone i can talk to..
Hi! Yeah I am hoping we get some more people in this group as well. All I have gotten so far is the box and form letter. Oh and the unexpected very short phone call for more info that was needed, :) that made me happy.
i wish i got a call like that..dont get me wrong i know she is ok but i sure miss the heck out of her...are you going to graduation
We are hoping to go, but a lot depends on getting the money together. And the fact that you can't really buy the tickets too far in advance because there is always the risk your kids grad date may change. I have a friend whose son was held back a week because he didn't fold his clothes right, lol.
yea i hear they are pretty tough ..but i aslo heard they really push for that date..we are going to drive its 12 hours from here..cheaper and we can come and go as we please..not sure if we will have any time with her or not but im hoping we will..have a blessed day and i usually get on here about 5 in the evening and right before work in the morning..
I wish we were close enough to drive, then going or not wouldn't be an issue. I just have to pray that it will all work out somehow. Right now I get on several times a day, but once school starts up in 2 weeks and I am back at work, it will be more early mornings and evenings as well. I hope your day goes well and we get that first letter soon!
well i got my first all today from her and it was not good in a way i guess..they are letting her go because of migrains...she said 10 to 12 days but will call me back tomorrow to give me more information..i know im happy she is coming home
Oh No! Has she suffered from migraines before? My son gets them, but they have eased off, so hoping he can power through them to get through boot. So are they letting her go for good? Or just sending her home for a while?
im sorry i am just getting back to you..yes they are letting her go for good but they said she can reelist if she if migrain free for two years..so there is hpe yet...hope you are doing well ...
So glad I found this group, everyone is so helpful. Well I didn't get my 1st letter yet my mom received one hoping to get one by Monday. We have a PO Box so I am hoping that is the holdup. The letter my mom received was sort of positive, she said Danielle got a staph infection, but was being treated and felling better, she said she has cried every night at bed time, but the last 2 days she has been fine. It kills me to hear that but I know she is in good hands and will be fine. Can't wait until October 8th to see her, she is my only child and was a single mom until she was 13, so the time away with no communication is killing me, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her, it has gotten better I don't cry everytime her name comes up.

So sorry to hear about your daughters migranes, hopefully things get better for her. Would love to hear back from anyone in this group.
Fayola, I hope your daughter is ok with being let go, it would be hard on my son if he was let go.

kschriner, welcome! Sorry about your daighters infection, bummer, :( I didn't get a letter either, but my daughter did. My son sounded up beat, said he was in an integrated div, which explains why the other people I have run into have daughters in this div, lol. We are really hoping to go to PIR, but I am almost afraid to buy tickets and have something happen and he gets held back or something. Just have to pray that doesn't happen. Again welcome, this is a wonderful site.
Thanks for responding back, can't wait for the 8th, not sure if we are flying out to Chicago or driving, I prefer the fly the drive from our home is about 12hrs. But if something happens and she doesn't graduate on time I would rather not have to worry about changing airline tickets. I am hoping to get a letter today, it would be so nice. I am hoping to get an upbeat letter like your daughter got

Are you close enough to drive??
