Hi Judi
Hmmm... I got a little lost and kept looking on page one for replies. Well, found my way back. I heard from my son today too. Phone call and letter. He did not say anything about a flag, but then again I did not ask. Oh I know about the pay attention thing. sounds like my son. They will learn if not the hard way.:-) I wonder what they earned a flag in? My son said they were doing good and working well together. Yes, Erik mentioned that their RDC were not as bad as some in the other div. He sounded good. Glad to hear your son is deciding what to do. Your daughter okay?

Hi Everyone! I heard from son also. Sounded better than last time I talked to him. He said the division took a test yesterday and sounded like they did the best. Said they get paid on the 1st and 15th. Saids it a good group of guys. So good to hear their voices!!
7 at once! Must have felt like Christmas... I don't know if mu SR has received more than the two he told me about but I just keep on sending them. One a day, and what ever others send. His buddies are not letter writers but who knows they may surprise him. Yes, I heard that they all were doing good as a team also and that they were all a good group of guys. Whew at least they do not have to deal with the issues some of the other groups have to. That is very frustrating for the families and the SR. Yes, we have been blessed with phone calls and letters which has made it a little easier. I think I read somewhere that by week 4 boot camp gets easier to stomach, but that could also be because they have gotten used to the rigor of the day. Who knows?
she's doing good! dr said she can go back to work on Oct 11 (she's coming in for her brother's PIR!) she works as a vet tech and can't use her arm until it heals. so she's bummed about being off work for so long, but is still able to go to classes- studying to be a vet; got her AS in May working on her BS then vet school. this could have been so much worse than just the broken wrist (both arm bones clean break, wrist joint dislocated and compressed, needed surgery to fix it. no head trauma, just a few scratches on her face. she was VERY lucky!) she might even be out of the brace for PIR (no cast because they said it would irritate the incision. and that surgeon did such a good job stitching her up she won't have a big scar! just a long thin one.) so Nathan won't have any reason to worry about her when he sees her!
Hi Harmonyworks- I hope that for you too. Have you heard any news? My son is a four sentence letter writer-so I was hoping some news about how the div is doing?
Hi DIsney nut
I have not had a phone call in a while either. It was the same time as you, I believe ,I remember from this site. My SR said in his letter today that boot camp is easier. His Letter is from 9/13 and said they were going into hell week. I do not know what hell week is. They were meeting with the nuclear chief to get final job assignment and that he is a grad and go. I'm a "little" upset about that but somehow had a feeling it was going to happen! Nothing about tests, flags etc
