OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Ladies and Gents (too) !

Just moving this discussion over from the Leaving from Boot Camp in August Page since it makes more sense to have it hear now!

Please join so we can all stay together and support each other through this!  Has anyone in this group received a letter or phone call yet?

I'm still waiting on that letter. Being in Florida might be making the difference right now. but I'm trying to be patient-not doing a very good job :)

Krisnavymom- that is awesome! And as a mom of Division 333, we are honored that your son was with them! What an experience this has been for us all....I think we should all stand tall, walk firm and take the utmost pride in knowing what fine men we have raised....ARE WE THERE YET...LOL! God bless you on your journey to Great Lakes!
I just found this website. Better late than never. My son called me yesterday, so psyched about passing battle stations. He is the Education Petty Officer. He has written me some awesome letters about his experience in boot camp. He is a grad and go and will head out to Nuke school in Charleston early Saturday morning. He asked me to meet him at the airport at 3:30 AM with his cell phone and IPOD. He says he's lost 10 pounds and has really bulked up since he got to boot camp.
Nice to meet you Adrienne, glad you found us. Did you find the info for the meet and greet? Where are you staying and when are you arriving in GL? We are driving and should arrive mid afternoon. We are staying at the Residence Inn.
flying into Chicago Thursday mornin,g staying at Comfort Inn Waukegan. Didn't find the info about the meet and greet
Hello. Question here... should I be worried if I still haven't gotten my call from Andrew? I kind of figured if he had watch last night, they would let him call me today, but still nothing. We are leaving about 3 AM... I will of course have my cell phone with me, but I sure wish I had gotten my call!
Adrienne, here is the link for the M&G http://www.navyformoms.com/group/100810pirmeetgreetrsvp It's at the Ramada Inn from 6-8 and it is for all Navy, not just N4M.

Vicki, it's easy for me to sit at home and tell you not to worry but if I was in your shoes, I would probably be a basket case. The logical answer is that Nathan and all the others said everyone passed BS. Plus, if he wasn't going to graduate for some reason he would have called you. Hang in there and have a good trip. Drive carefully and we will see you tomorrow!
