for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Just emailed you Xraytech. You are lucky that your SR is in the first group to do BattleStations because they get the most chances to still pass. He will get to try tomorrow (Fri), Mon and Wed, if he needs all of those chances. If he passes Fri or Mon, then he should be able to call you before you leave for PIR. But if he doesn't pass until Wed, he may not be able to call before you leave. The next BattleStations after Tues night's for this group is Thurs night (with next PIR group). So those who pass on Wed morning cannot do BattleStations until the night before PIR.
As I said in my email to you, keep your plans. There is a family in this week's PIR group in this situation. No call as of last night from their SR. They are heading to GL anyway...going to PIR and hoping their SAILOR's name is at the gate. If not, they will explore the area, extremely disappointed, of course, because they will not be allowed to visit with their SR. In years past, they would have received a 2 hr visit on base with their SR, but they no longer do this.
So lots of prayers for wings on his feet...hopefully tomorrow or Mon. so he can do BattleStations on Mon night and call you on Tues afternoon! This happens every single week, by the way. Most will pass.
If he doesn't pass before PIR, he will stay in FIT and keep trying....10-12 more chances....once he passes, he will do BattleStations, have a short Liberty, and head straight to A School. No PIR once they miss their own.
Praying that you get THAT call on Tues! The PFA is what trips them up....he WILL pass BattleStations, so if he is allowed to call you after he passes the PFA (rather than having to wait until after BattleStations), you can breathe a huge sigh of relief!
Prayers!
Good Morning All !
The FIT division is extra help for either the swimming portion needed or the physical portion in order to pass.
If possible DO NOT cancel any of your plans to attend PIR just yet. Your recruits will have two or three more tries to pass before PIR. If they pass they will go through BS immediately with whatever divisions are going through that night (even if another TG).
If they pass and go through BS before PIR they will be at PIR, depending on what night they go through BS will determine if they participated in the ceremony or will be sitting on the balcony (too tired).
Wait as long as you can before canceling!
Thank you leomom65.. myself and all the Navy moms want to thank you all, for the awesome support..
I'm sorry to hear that :( Hopefully there is still a chance for them. Praying for the SRs
Hi DakotasMom my SR didn't say much. or tell me anything but he was going to FIT. Was your SR able to say more? or just the scripted message and going to FIT..
Thank you Steven's Mom..I'm going there now..
