Hey ladies, I hope you don't mind that I moved our page to our PIR group.  I read where we need to do this so that the other page can be cleared for the next group.  Plus this will be easier to keep up with!  lol  Hope you all are having a great day!

Yes, Bellaboo2u it sure does make it easier. They have been together 3 years now. She will be starting her first year of college this month. In fact my husband is re-tiling the floors and redoing the kitchen etc. for her where she will be living. It was their main home when she was younger. You would think we were in the Navy as we are always looking for things related to it. She bought a cute jacket sailor colors with gold buttons with anchors on them. She was telling me as a little girl she used to love the cartoon series Sailor Moon. Go figure. lol
I love Sailor Moon and Im 32! LOL I have the cutest sailor dress in white and blue to match his dress uniforms, lol. They are sooooo cute. Fit any body style and are simply adorable. I am a Navy nut too, I find all kinds of things related and buy it! Gonna bankrupt us! hahahaha
Thanks Kat Q... I havent got much work done been exploring too much on here... wish I had taken the time to come in here before he left. actually he had checked it out and told me about it. and used a check list of what to do prior to leaving...
I also love his girlfriend and her family and they feel same about him and us... like I said her mom is coming along with her to graduation.. son's sisters are not able to come.. one is expecting her 3rd child the end of this month... so if not sooner on 27th we will be in Jacksonville FL (5 hrs away) delivering our new granddaughter then back here to leave from Atlanta on 30th for greatlakes... fun fun...
Hello everyone! You all have been busy today! lol My job has been keeping me away from here way to much!! lol

Sailor mom welcome! It is so good to find another one of our flock! Hope we can be of any help if you have any questions.

Jmom - Happy Birthday! Hope you have a very blessed day! I think my son and your son may know each other. He talked about a guy from AL in his letter. lol All good!!!!

I have booked my motel, we will be staying at the Red Carpet Inn. We will be driving to PIR (12 hours) because it was too expensive to fly. Of course that was when I thought my other son was going too! He has decided that he is going to stay and go to school plus he has a football game. I think he doesn't want to say good-bye again. He took it pretty hard when his big brother left. They are 4 years apart and did everything together. So I left it up to him whether he wanted to go or not. Hope you all have a good weekend! Glad things are going better for our guys!
Hoping I get to meet you all at PIR - it is going to be so awesome. My son's girlfriends mom is also coming with us. My SR's older brother and sister now say they want to go. Can only have 4 on list so hope that they will be able to get in. Seby put us (his parents), GF, and brother on the list. He said his sister is a nag and she didn't think she was going to be able to make it. His GF mom surprised us by saying it would be her honor to go as well. That is awesome and Seby will be so happy if it all comes through. We have not all been together (3 kids) for over 3 years. Pray for us. Also they better get it together for 10/1. I booked our rooms already but not airfare yet as we are trying to book together with the GF and her mom. My son will go from New Jersey and my daughter from Mass., so they are on their own.
HANG IN THERE - WE GOT THIS!!

.
I will pray it works out for all of your kids to be there.. I know it will mean alot to your son. just alittle advise the closer you wait the more the airline tickets will be.. It will be nice to meet other familys ..This is a special time in our childs life a beginning of their future.. so proud!!!!
Hey Kat! The closer it gets we need to start making a plan to get together or something. Are you going to be there in time for the meet and greet at the Ramada? We will be getting there sometime during the day on Thursday.
Good morning Sondra. Since you know this site better than most of us, lol....where do I find info on the meet and greet? I went to events and there are plenty of them scheduled but I could not find anything for our group?
Happy Saturday to everyone!
Good morning all - hope everyone will have an awesome long weekend.
Sondra - when again is the meet and greet? I know I saw it posted but my brain lately is toasted. I am waiting patiently for the GF/s mom to get together with me to make travel arrangements. I will wait until after this weekend than will have to do on my own. I don't like waiting until the last minute. yes it would be so great to meet others and celebrate our SR's beginning of their new lives. Only us Navy moms/wives understand the importance of that. Hurry up - 10/1 let's get here already.
Good Morning to all .. Will have to check out the meet and greet ...We will be arriving around noon Thurs to airport so we will have time to check out trip to base and our surroundings... not sure if we will have to go back to airport to pick up gf's mother who is arriving in the evening but will try to plan to do it all... would love to meet all of you.. ok now off to walk the dog and maybe get dressed....lol it is saturday
From what I have seen the M&G is always the Thursday night before graduation from 6-8 at the Ramada Inn. I have seen where one group didn't have a good experience but overall I think most have enjoyed. Some of the groups get together afterwards at Anastasia's (spelling). One group had a swimming party on Sunday. We can do whatever we want just need to get our heads together and decide. And some might have plans to do something on their own. I know we are going to Little Italy and Mar's Cheese Castle, the Navy Pier and maybe the Sears tower! lol Maybe we want to get together and go to these places. Oh and the Gurnie Mall!!! lol I hope Kaleb wants to do something! lol Have a good day!
Hey Twin Falls! Sorry I don't think I answered your question! lol You can see the M&G on the right side of the page under events. I guess someone will post it when it gets closer! lol Oh and I was wondering how many in our DIV ordered ribbons.
