For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The ribbons are sold by Lala Ribbon Queen. They are $7 each ($5 for ribbon $2 shipping). I think ours are Navy blue with Silver or gold letters. You can friend Lala and she will give you the info. They are to show pride for our DIV!! Question #2 Go to Settings (top right under your friends). Your username will appear under where you added a pic. Click at the end and change! I am ordering my ribbons today!

Hang in there.... and its good to vent... and what better place than with other mothers.. did you get the form letter... with the names printed by your son who is suppose to be on list.the 4 names... that is who is suppose to come you have that list and it dont matter what she thinks... if she isnt on it she dont get to get in unless extra seats is available... she is prob all talk.... will be in prayer that this situation resolves itself.... hugs

Anytime.... well this lady needs her rest.... worried bout my other Navy family... my daughter wasnt feeling well tonight ... she has already been under high risk doc... for preg due to gestanial diabetes ..now she is swelling and headaches and just feeling crampy . I think alot is brought on from stress her Navy husband is out at sea and she has 10 and 7 year olds.. she is 5 hrs from me... and its not quite time for baby to be born.... Im trying to get most of my work done so i can take off down there..... .. Ive been in her shoes... she really needs me down there... :~( .... i just got deadlines due...

Hey Ladies! Sorry to hear that you have so much going on. Praying for both of you that things will work themselves out.
Jmom - I am glad you had a good birthday and that you enjoyed yesterday. Have you told her that her name is not on the list and that she will not be allowed in if she goes? I know that they let people not on the list in if there are any open seats but maybe she doesn't know that. I am so sorry that you have had to write your son and have him make a choice but I understand that you don't want to spend all that money and have to deal with her. Do you think that she can afford to go? Keep thinking positive and praying about it. And come vent anytime! My son had a girlfriend that he broke up with just a few days before he left because she was getting to be controlling (she was mad because he played in a softball tournament the weekend before he left instead of spending all his time with her). She texted him the day he left and told him that she loved him so much and that she would be waiting for him. Well she is now living with a 30 something year old man (she is only 19). He knew that she would find someone else while he was gone. I at least thought it would take longer than 2 weeks. I am thankful that my son took care of her before he left and I haven't told him about what she is doing. We were real close up till the end. And now she won't talk to me because she knows that I am going to tell her that she is messing up. lol Not the same as yours because I know that she isn't going to PIR. Just thought it might make you feel a little better to know that we are all having some problems of our own. Hang in there and maybe it will take care of itself. I wouldn't let it keep me from going to see my son!
Kat - Sorry to hear that your daughter is having some trouble with her pregnancy. I used to work as a nurse in the L&D and know how serious this can be. When is the baby due? Hope you get there soon to help her! Keep us posted!!!!! -

Good Morning All - Hope everyone is having a great long weekend. Finally a morning with no rain so will try to clean the pool again. Cleaned it last weekend but then we had thunderstorms all week and couldn't use it. Oh well.
Jmom - don't worry about venting here. This is what we are all here for. The support and love here has and continues to be my life support. Go ahead - let it all out. Our strength and prayers are with you. Some people are just not happy unless they are making someone else miserable.
Sailor mom - prayers are with you and your daughter.

Good afternoon , I am just now able to check in today... thanks Sondra and Kat.... having a rough day myself today... just really stressed. Preacher hit right on target this morning ...I made notes to share with son.. He always took notes during sermon.. gosh I really miss him ... going to try to get some work done I might have to go sooner to daughers to help her out...Hope ya are having a great day
