While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 04 (USS Arleigh Burke) Division 822
Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

UPS dropped off pictures for me today - pictures of my son in a sharp blue uniform; a very sharp looking group of men all dressed up with LOTS of flags, including one that says 'honor division' on it and a very cool looking division flag, and one silly group picture with the guys in their daily cammo making silly faces!
Oh, it was good to see his face - even if he doesn't look like the same boy I sent off 8 weeks ago.
Now, if I could just get a phone call.....

thats so great melissa! i dont know if my SR is mailing them home or just going to give them to us on friday after he graduates. im so excited! found a pizza place that i heard was supposed to be really good called ginos, 9 miles away from the base. i have a friend from chicago who's helping me out. but we will be seeing yall soon! :) yayyy

Congratulations to this week's Captain's Cup winners! Taking top honors for the non-integrated (all-male) divisions was Div. 822, and taking top honors for the integrated (male-female) divisions was Div. 328.
Captain's Cup is a fun, friendly athletic event held the Saturday prior to graduation for those divisions set to graduate. Events include activities such as basketball, volleyball, relay races and more. -

My SR told me he just ordered pictures and not the DVD. We really wanted a DVD of the graduation to share with family and friends that can't be there to share it with us in person. Anyone know if we will be able to order one once we get there?

Navy Exchange Photographic Services at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes offers each graduating recruit the opportunity to purchase division and individual photographs, a division Cruise Book, which highlights the Recruits’ Boot Camp experiences from Night of Arrival to Graduation Day and a DVD of the Recruit Pass-In-Review Ceremony.
Photographs and cruise books may be purchased only by the recruit prior to their graduation from boot camp; however, if your recruit did not order a DVD of PIR, the Navy Exchange Photographic Services Office will accept orders.
Please verify with your recruit that a DVD has not been ordered by them prior to placing your request.
To order a DVD of your Recruits PIR, please provide the following information:

My SAILOR just called!!
Div 822 finished Battle Stations last night with an (unofficial) 4.8/5 score and so are (unofficially) the Hall of Fame division for this Boot Camp. Final flags/points will be tallied on Wednesday to confirm, but it sounds like our boys ROCKED IT!
He said the capping ceremony was really moving, but that when they do it they are so tired that it almost doesn't register. He was still awfully tired today and almost fell asleep on the phone with me. He said they have free time for most of today and that PO was calling bedtime at 8 tonight instead of 9:30 so that they can get some extra sleep before their 3:30am wake up tomorrow.
I was excited to see him on Friday - but now I am even more ready for Friday to be here! I am leaving in the morning to drive to my parents house to get them and meet up with my daughter, son, and soon-to-be daughter in law, then we are driving to Chicago on Thursday.
