Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 333 & 334. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

WhoooHoooo!!!! I got a 2nd letter today in the mail from my son. He says everything is good but that there are definetly people in his division that bring down the whole division. He passed his swim test with no problem. He says that he hates watch duty...waking up at 3am to walk around and fix little dumbstuff in his compartment. He also says that he will not be allowed to have a cell phone until the 2nd week of A-school. He is going to Pensacola for A-school is anyone else aware of this...I thought I read on here that we could give it to them at the airport when they leave for A-school. He also says that they don't sent or receive mail on the weekends. He sent my letter out on Tuesday the 4th and it got to me in Jacksonville, FL today....so that's not too bad. It was a very short letter again...but I am glad I got it. Now I am hope to get a phone call this weekend...keeping my finger's crossed.
I hope everyone else that hasn't gotten a letter gets one this weekend! Take care!
Dawn
Woohoo!! 2nd letter today! My son says he passed his swim test no problem and finished the mile and a half run in record time. He joked about all the deductions that come out of his first paycheck. He did have a fever, but it didn't seem to stop him too much. Says its hard to find time to write but I know his girl got 2 letters to my one- so I'm not buying it. He says the whole division is starting to work together as a team especially in marching. I guess it would take a bit of practice to get 80 guys to walk in step.
Hope everyone will share little tidbits so we can piece together a bigger picture of boot camp.
Just got back from same-day surgery and I received my 2nd letter! Whoo Hoo. He has passed all his tests (fitness assessment and swim) so far. He almost made the 2nd swimmer but his breaststroke was off. He says usually only 1 out of 80 in each division get it. Other than that, he sounds upbeat and tells me to keep sending letters It looks like his letters take longer since I am way out here on the west coast. Oh he has all teeth, they were too far up there (his words)
YAY!!! So glad to hear you got a letter! Hope you are feeling ok!!!
Well, my son is in the same div and I got one today so... Hang in there, I know you'll get one! I am praying that you and everyone else receives something from their recruits.
I got one today but it was written back on Aug 31.... sure it taking a long time to get them.
same here- the one we recieved today was dated 8/31/12.
We've just got to send the letters to encourage them.. I'd rather know that my son got a good nights sleep instead of staying up to write letters. I want him to do well and I can't wait to see him at PIR!!!
Pray continuously.
Good Morning everyone - Happy Sunday. I'm sure missing that boy of mine today. Living for the letters, and praying for a phone call soon to hear that voice of his.
ME TOO!! I am feeling the same way today.... Lots of tears today!! Good luck, I hope your phone rings SOON!!!!
