Edit: 10/6/2010 -  Info from Pink Helmet (THANKS, Pink, for getting this all set up!!!)

Here is the email I (Pink Helmet) received from Anastasia's:

Anastasia’s Restaurant and Sports Lounge

3880 Northpoint Blvd.

Waukegan, IL 60085

847 688-1317

www.eatatanastasias.com

The restaurant is located in a small commercial area known as Fountain Square.

Tips for GPS users. When redevelopment of the area in which we are
located started they changed some addresses around. We have had
customers mention that the current address is not found in a GPS
system. If you have a system that is not recognizing our address try
typing in 880 Lakehurst Rd. and hopefully that will work. Just remember
that all the signs when you are near will say Northpoint Blvd. and
Lakehurst Rd still exists in another branch of our area.

We do have the ability to offer some limited shuttle service to the
restaurant for customers who do not have adequate transportation.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you think you may need this
service.

I think it is helpful to mention that there is a 24 hour Super Walmart
across the street from the restaurant and they sell anything from
toiletries to clothing, food, and alcohol. Any items that were
forgotten or confiscated during travel can be replenished there.

As for your evening with us we are anticipating that your group will
need separate checks and we are certainly prepared to accommodate. Just
so you know ahead of time we can split a single item between checks as
well. We serve excellent pizza and some people like to share appetizers
but still pay separately. It is also worth mentioning that breakfast is
served all day. We accept all major credit cards including American
Express and there is an ATM machine in our front lobby. The entire
state of Illinois is non-smoking. If anyone encounters unfortunate
traveling circumstances and arrives too late to attend the event, we
serve food and deliver to all local hotels until midnight.

I have prepared some directions from Navy Lodge and Ramada Inn to our
restaurant. Some of the other hotels that are very close are Courtyard
by Marriot (right next door), Spring Hill Suites, and Holiday Inn
Express. Just down the street are Candlewood Suites, and Residence Inn.
If anyone needs additional directions please feel free to contact me.

I am also attaching a sheet that we give to customers with directions
to the local mall and some train information for getting to and around
in Chicago. If anyone is planning on going down to Chicago I always
recommend taking the train. Traffic can be bad, parking is expensive,
and a relaxing train ride gives everyone a chance to chat and catch up.

If anyone has any more questions please feel free to contact me. We
look forward to hosting a wonderful evening for your group and I hope
everyone has a safe and comfortable trip.

For directions from Navy Lodge to Anastasia’s:
http://maps.yahoo.com/?ard=1&mvt%3Dm%26lat%3D42.3206%26lon%3D-8...

For directions from Ramada Inn to Anastasia’s:
http://maps.yahoo.com/?ard=1&mvt%3Dm%26lat%3D42.353645%26lon%3D...

These directions are a little more complicated and there is an alternative route that does not take you onto Rt. 41.

Exit Ramada Inn right onto Greenbay Rd..

Then right on Washington St. (at the light)

Take Washington St. just past the turns for Rt. 41 to Greenleaf St. and go Left.

On Greenleaf St. you will come upon a group of 2 stop lights very close
together (entrances for Belvidere Rt. 120), go straight through them
and the 3rd light is Northpoint Blvd.

Take a Left on to Northpoint Blvd. and we are just a few doors down on the left, Walmart will be on your right side.
EDIT 9/15/2010:  Our Navy For Mom group is having our own Meet & Greet at Anastasia's Restaurant, 3880 Northpoint Blvd. in Waukegan, IL.  7:00 PM on 10/14.  (Please RSVP your head count to Pink Helmet)

Edit 9/30/2010: I am going to bring name tags to the Meet & Greet at Anastasia's. They will look like this. I have purchased the holders from Office Max -  they have a pin on the back.

In order to keep it simple - we can just hand write our information onto the tag insert in the spaces provided. I'll bring pens to do this, too. :-)

If anyone wants to accessorize in other ways... I think that's GREAT! Please feel free to show your support in whatever ways you are comfortable. I may have to reign in my pride and not accessorize too much so as not to embarrass my Sailor... LOL!
I just thought that this was a good way to identify ourselves and show support at the same time.
See you all soon!!!

I like it! Just wondering if we should put our real name AND our N4M name?!

Also - how would this work if one of us bought the kit. Would we each print our name tag at home & bring it? Or would we send our information to whoever buys the kit?
That is a good point… in regards to the name… I did change my login name to my real name while ago…. the login name I used when became a member of M4N was my email log in mane (didn’t know better) – which is the first two initial of my name and my husband’s name. Ya & Mel…. Oh well this is just a suggestion to update the names in the profile to the real names…

On regards to the kit for the name tags, does any one know how many tags per kit? Maybe we can split the printing portion as well… I would not mind printing some
I was thinking I'd just buy the kit myself and send everyone the tag. It's not that expensive for the kit... but would add up with all the postage to everyone.

Maybe for those that want it, you could send me a self addressed stamped envelope to mail it to you.

I'll have to figure out how much postage it will require.

OR I could just bring them to the Meet & Greet and pass them out there. Then there'd be no extra cost for anyone.

I was thinking the tag would be generic and we could hand write in the specific information.

I'm not sure I can keep up with properly spelling out all the information... LOL... for all our group.

You could just copy the above image and paste it into your word processing program and add in the text and then print the tag out yourself, too.

Options, options, options! LOL!
Another option could be handing out the tags before the M&G at the restaurant and have everyone writing their own information
Or
Everyone will bring a printed label (according to the size of the tag) with their Sailor’s name and another label with their own name ..
Yes, I think it might be easiest for me to just bring generic tags to the Meet & Greet and then everyone can write in their info. I'll redo the tag so there's a spot for our Navy for Mom's name and real name.

What do you all think?
That sounds like a great plan! Good thinking Ladies!
Sounds great!
Dana,
That sounds like the best plan and the easiest. The tags are in one place, they won't be misplaced or forgotten at home!
Hi Dana, picking up our name tags at the M&G sounds good. We're staying at Springhill, and would need to figure out a ride to Ramada or Anastasia's ...
Also, I think a bunch of us will have T-shirts, the ones with the division's flag on the back ... instant ID for some of us!!
That's awesome! How are you getting a copy of the divisions flag?
The t-shirt company does it for you depending upon the div you put on the order form. It's pretty cool, did you need the link?
