Just thought I'd start a post so we can share where we are staying.

I'm staying at SpringHill Suites in Waukegan. The rate is $79.00 for a King Room with a separate sitting area with a pull out bed  and desk, mini frig and microwave. They do have a Shuttle for PIR - it's contracted through another company. It leaves at 6:30 AM and 7:30
AM the morning of graduation and costs $3 each way so $6 round trip. I
read many reviews on Trip Advisor and almost all LOVED it there. They
said the free breakfast was great - cook your own waffles, (boiled) eggs,
sausage, fruit, bagels, etc. There is a Super Wal-Mart very close as
well so if you want snacks you can get them there. It's 5.6 miles from
RTC.

I got a room at Quality Inn on South Green Bay Road in Waukegan for 65 a night. It was on the Navy brochure that my daughter sent/says it has a shuttle, breakfast, etc.
Hi Everyone: i have been researching for the better part of the morning and finally came up with HOMEWOOD SUITES in lincolnshire, IL. the rate i got is $74 per night. It looks very clean and nice. I am coming to Graduation by myself with my 3 year old grandbaby and so i wanted to be sure we stayed in a good safe area. If you look on the map it is number 11. The desk clerk said that its about 20 minutes from the base and since i am renting a car didn't think it would be that bad of a deal. However, maybe i should reconsider staying somewhere closer. Never have been this indecisive before about a room scared to death!!
I am staying at the hotel indigo from the 14th - 18th. They have a $99 graduation rate. Is any one else staying there?
...I'm not kamasmom, I am one of the mom's at springhill, the rate's also $99 for 2 queens or $89 for a king under their graduation rate. I've heard nothing but really good reviews, and their online pics are real nice too. They even have the shuttle service to PIR if you need it :)
I need a room for five for two nights and the hotel indigo's $99 is for a suite. It is one block from a metra train stop ( I am not comfortable driving in strange cities). they are 8miles from Great Lakes and I read some pretty good reviews.
I will be staying with my sister in Gurnee- if anyone has questions about the town please let me know i will ask her and post..
Apparently, I am a block from a Pace bus station not the train station. The hotel will shuttle you anywhere within a five mile radius. I know that I can get to liberty train station from O’Hare and then shuttle to the hotel but if you could ask your sister how to switch lines and or how to get from Libertyville station to Great Lakes station. It appears they are two different lines. Any clarification would be great.
THANK YOU!
Cyndi
will talk to my sister over weekend and get that info hopefully she is knowledgeable on trains
I'm pushing this discussion up so it shows for Kaleena! :)
I'm gonna be staying @ the Navy Lodge for $65 a night.
Kaleena - are you going to be able to meet us at Anastasia's on Thursday night before PIR?! I'd love to meet you in person!! :)
Probably not. I don't know what time I'll arrive there. I haven't booked my flight yet. If not than I will see everyone at PIR. :)
