Just found out my son is in this division. Looking forward to connecting with you all!!
Pink - I'm think our sons must have left together from San Jose on Thursday morning the 19th. I see that you are from Pleasanton and I am from Fresno, CA. I have an address; however, can I compare to what you have...I want to make sure it is correct.
Sure! The address I have is 3515 Sailor Dr, Great Lakes, IL 60088-3515. Is that what you have too? I'm glad our sons went together! What is your son's name? My son is Curtis.
Yes, Curtis flew from San Jose to Illinois on the 19th. We actually live in Pleasant Hill... but it's easy to confuse the two!! I'll ask Curtis if he knows Tim. Good thinking to mail them to what the RTC website said instead of what the recruiter said!! I mailed a bunch of letters yesterday... I can't wait to see the form letter with his note.... hopefully he wrote something!! lol!
Yes, they have to know each other because our recruiter said there would be about 7 other young men flying from San Jose. Where is Pleasant Hill....I don't know why I thought Pleasanton. Let's stay in touch. I haven't got the box from Tim yet...I'm thinking it is because the mail in Fresno is so slooow.
I just found out my son is in this division.
The address I have is 3515 Sailor Dr.
Looking forward to talking with all ya'll.
Big smiles for the first time since he left. 10/23/10
My box came FED EX...I just got it today
Marion's mom....where are you from? I'm happy you got your box...smiles back to you too.
Hi Marions mom! Welcome! So happy you got your box! I got mine on Tuesday. No letter yet, but I got his address yesterday from his recruiter.

Let's definitely stay in touch! My husband grew up in Fresno so I've been there a couple times!
He wrote me letters the night before he left while in the hotel. Such a sweet boy.
I still don't have the letter he would have sent when he got there. It's ok though. My mood is much better today since I can at least smell his clothes and mail a letter to him. I have finally got up off the couch and ate something. It has been a rough couple of days. I thought I would go insane. I just felt lost without him. If I got up off the couch to go to the bathroom then I wandered around the house not knowing what I was doing. So I just went back and laid on the couch where I have been since Monday. So very sad I know. I thought I was stronger than that.
I'm so thankful that I have other moms to talk to now. I am not alone in missing my baby.
I am just outside of Houston Tx,
Where are you from?
I just sent my first letter with stamps. I forgot the freaking calling card. i will send that tomorrow.
Marion, I am the same way, I thought I could be really strong...this is hard though and it is only week 1. Hnag in there!
