My son Caleb is in this division. Anyone else????
My son Randy is in this division
Hello Everyone:
my Son Darrell is in this group. Look forward to talking with other Moms. I am planning to attend the Graduation...just decided this week.
My son Ryan is in this division. Has anyone received a letter from their recruit yet?
Hi Kris, My son Caleb is in this group. I talked to him yesterday and he said that they got a chance to write letters this past Sunday, so we should recieve a letter any day this week. He also said he got the letters we sent him on Sunday as well. Good Luck to your sailor!!
My son Damian is in this division. I finally got a letter from him today and it felt so good to hear from him for the first time since he left for boot camp. He also wrote to his sister I have sent him several letters and hope he got them. I will definitely be attending the graduation. I am so looking forward to seeing him on October 15th. .
Thank you so much for responding. I did receive a letter on Thursday. What a relief to finally hear something. Did your son sound upset at all? I was surprised by how homesick he sounded. It wasn't like he was ready to quit or anything, just that it was tough.
My son did not sound too upset. He said that boot camp is just as advertised, that it was tough but not impossible. He said that he values his free time now more than he ever has. He also said that misses "silence". I guess that is because of all the yelling that they have to put up with.
My other son was in the Air Force, and now works for the Air Force, and he was able to kinda prepare his brother for what he was going to go through.

They just have another month of boot camp and then it will be easier for them. It will get easier as they learn to understand that in the future someone's life is going to depend on thier ability to follow orders without questioning.
I guess it is tough because they can't ask 'why' when they are given an order. They just have to follow. That is so unlike what they are used to doing. We just have to just keep them in our prayers and we will be so happy to see the change in them when we see them on October 15th.

My son hinted that some of their problems are caused by members of his group not performing as expected. I guess the commanders use group discipline and so they all get punished for the what ever some of the group does or does not do. .
To all the moms in this group: Has any of your sons said anything about their division not working well together. My son said they were having issues which is causing them extra physical training and losing privileges. I just pray they can get it together real soon.
My son mentioned something about this in his letter. He said that things would be easier if it had not been for some members of his group.
Have you gotten a call from your son yet? I haven't got a call this week yet and have only got 1 letter. I was just wondering if this is just my son or the whole division.
My boyfriend Bacilio also said they had some issues. I got a phone call last Thurs the 16th from him and he said originally it was supposed to be an hour phone call, but I only got to talk to him for 10 min :( I hope they are doing better working together as a team by now.
