mom4sons, I have two boxes of peanut butter cookies. I was given them by mistake. If you don't mind, I will give them to your son. I don't like them, and was wondering what I was going to do with them. I put them in my freezer until I could find someone who likes them.
I asked Laurence if he wanted some cookies for his birthday. He said as long as I didn't bake them! lol He is missing two Harry Potter books, so I will buy them and some deli cookies.

I need to think ahead! I'm always the one who waits for the last minute. I can never wait for the day, so I found to wait until the last minute. I have no ideas as to what to get him while he is so far away. I can't bake, so I might have to buy some cookies. I'm also thinking about a gift card or i-tunes card.
Tina, what a wonderful experience! I have always admired the Asian culture.

mom4sons, I feel a closeness to you! Last night, I was telling Laurence about our sons having the same birthday. They already knew, but I heard your son joking with Laurence. After I told him, I could hear him say, "You stole my birthday!" Then I could hear them laugh. In formation one day, it was pointed out by a chief about their birthdays.
Wade, I think it is col that our boys are together. It seems like there are at least three of them together at CP, and Laurence knows them!

That is your son! I asked him if he knew anyone from Nebraska who had his same PIR. He said that he knew a guy who played WOW all the time. I asked if he played it more than his brother! He just laughed and never answered, so I don't know if it was a yes or no. His older brother plays that game none stop! He stationed in San Diego on the USS Bonhomme Richard. I guess it can be addicting, but like you, I agree, there are worst things they could be doing.

Yes, he is! I will have to tell him! I think he knows your son.

Wade, I am so glad to hear all of your good news. I will continue to pray for you. I can remember your next appointment, as it is my corpsman's 19th birthday. I will keep you in my prayers until then. I hope the 2nd opinion is good! Thanks for sharing!

Wade, YIKES! 75%!!! I was just told that it will happen and to be prepared. He knows I worry about everything! When Laurence told me he wanted to be a medic for the Marines, he was still young and in high school. I figured that by the time he finished his training our troops would be heading home. It's been almost two years since he told me, and our troops are still there. I feel for all moms!
Tina, your son-in-law will be in my prayers as well as your daughter.
Johanna, you're right, there is no place like home and Mom can fix everything!

Wade, thanks for the update. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
Also, thanks for the update on the grandkids! They are a true statement about how wonderful life is. I'm glad to hear that your daughter is doing well at BC. When is her PIR? Have you packed? Have you heard from your HM? I was told that test one was yesterday. Laurence was excited. He passed. Now he is on phase three, which means he can now leave base again. He also said that now the "real" training will begin. lol He just wants to get down and dirty with the Marines. He wants to be able to tell them (Marines) to remember to take the pin out of the grenade before it is thrown! lol
