Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 407 and 408
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hi everyone. I have a daughter at RTC Ship 11 Division 407 25 OCT Graduation. trying to figure out how to use this site!!!
(copied and pasted from duplicate discussion)
I hope I have finally found where I want to be? My daughter's PIR is Oct. 25 and is Ship 11 Div 407. Can someone tell me if I'm in the right place? I feel like while she is at BC I am having to become more and more computer savy.
Looks like you're in the right place. :)
Thanks Ellen0502!!! I am hoping for a letter from my daughter soon. Has anyone gotten letters from their kids yet and/or phone call? I got letter out to her yesterday after I got her form letter. I am sure she is well, I just wanna make sure she has some kind of words of encouragement from the outside world. I hunted down the mailman!!! lol
Thank you for you information. You say "on the main page towards the right is a week to week summary of what our recruits are doing." I am not sure where that is. Looking around the site to see if i can figure it out.
Thank you so much for all your help but I too can not find this "day to day" information. I see events that have already happen to the right like the blue candle event and also the meet and greets but I don't think I am where I need to be? Sorry but I usually ask my daughter computer questions and well that is not an option right now. She told me about "Skype" before she left and said that I should take some computer classes. LOL
We haven't received a phone call or letter from our daughter yet. I keep hoping everyday when the mail comes there will be something in there from the Great Lakes. (well I run to the mailbox and my husband thinks I'm nuts)This is our oldest child so this is all new to our family. My father was a Marine but unfortunately he is no longer with us to answer my questions. I keep telling myself my daughter is doing well but my heart aches for a letter or phone call.
You daughter is well, I am certain she is in good hands. Running for the mailbox and your husband thinks your nuts? Not possible!!! What does the Mailman think of you? lol.
The mailman and I are on a first name basis now. If he sees me coming down the driveway he shakes his head no, meaning there is nothing important and he yells...."maybe tomorrow."
You got it like that with the Mailman!!! lol. I understand. Anyway, the Mail Carriers are a lot of time past service men and woman so they understand!!!!
Hi there! Proud Mom from Texas, here! My daughter is Ship 11 Division 408. Is everyone here planning on attending PIR? At what point should we purchase tickets? I've received the form letter this week but still no phone call or personal letter, so anxious to hear from her.
