For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 347 and 348
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hi Everyone! I'm so excited that we have our very own USS Arizona Thread so we can get to know each other! I love the idea of being able to hear about & share what's going on with our SRs who are in Brother Divisions! Hearing from anyone in our Divisions is like hearing from my own SR!! :-)
My son is in Div 348
Looking forward to sharing with you all and Especially meeting you all at Sarge's Meet & Greet!

Hi Dee
My SR is an AD. Do you know when they will be leaving for Pensacola? I thought it was the day after PIR. But my SR says he has seen Sailors hanging around for a couple of days before they left.

GeauxTigers: Sometimes the Pensacola group leaves on Sunday, but it is mainly Saturday. It depends on flights available for the group. Your sailor won't know a definite schedule until right before PIR.

Hi GeauxTigers!
I'm also thinking it's the day after PIR (sometime Saturday.) Like diannep mentioned, with the possibility of our SRs' departure being delayed, we went ahead & booked our room thru Sunday night (just in case.) Plus, the weather can be so iffy up there during this time of year & with all the storms that have moved thru the region already this year, we thought we'd better be prepared for our SR to possibly have another day there.
One of the pointers that I read "somewhere" and copied down, was the following information:
Airport,________Airline________ Gate #_______ Flight #_______ Flight time_______ Layover________ and Arrival Time________
In the last letter that I'll mail to him, I'm going to include the above on a small slip of paper & ask that he fill it out (once he knows) and put it in his wallet. That way he'll have it with him after PIR & we'll at least know the "plan", even if any possible delay changes it! Hopes this helps! :-)

Hi Derrick's Mom & Loretta1212!! Do you guys happen to know you're SR's rating? I haven't yet met anyone (except on our PIR Facebook Page) who's SR has the same rating as my son's (AME) Not that it matters, of course, we're all one big family, but I was just wondering. Thx for sharing! :-)
