My son is an officer. He has been in the Navy for almost 4 years. The few times I didn't trust my instincts, I lived to regret it.
Sincerely yours, BQBee

Dear Navy Moms,

I have been an active member of this site since Spring of 2009. Recently Dot Mom inquiry about the parking pass within this group and in a Forum discussion. DO NOT SHARE YOUR PARKING PASSES. If a mom/dad has a RC at GL, he/she would have received a letter with the password and a link to print out the pass.

The following is what I posted to Dot mom. Again I apologize for alarming anyone if I have made an error in judgment with my concern. However, in your excitement, it's easy to forget rules of safety and security.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Dot mom,

I see that you are a member of the following PIR groups:

  1. PIR 1-07-11
  2. PIR 12/17/10
  3. Alumni of PIR 11/23/10

On the PIR 12/17/10 group, you posted the following on the on December 9 at 4:03PM

"Question..... Am I supposed to have some type of a "parking permit or form" when I go to PIR???? Thanks in advance :) "

Betsy responded to you at 4:11PM the following:

"Dot Mom, yes your have to get your password off the orginal form letter that you received (within the week of them leaving for boot camp). Go to the Recruit Training Command page and then you can print it out.

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp

Susan, I know what you mean. It's driving me nuts too!!!! "

On the PIR 1-07-11 group, you posted 6 hours ago:

"Got my call also!!! So excited!!! Need help tho. I need to call the training center because I never got my password to get my parking pass, anyone got the #?? Thanks for your help, gotta go pack!!" and

"Also, where do I click on parking pass??? UGH!!! too muchanxiety, lol"

You signed up to attend the PIR 12/17/10 Meet and Greet at Ramada Inn. Did you attend? Is there someone out there from the 12/17/10 PIR who met you? From you first inquiry about the parking pass you should know where to get the password in order to print out parking pass. So therefore, why are you inquiring about it again?

I sincerely apologize if there is a legitimate reason why you are members of both PIR groups. You questions are not adding up. The safety of our recruits and the training center is of utmost importance to all of us.

Leaving Richmond, VA at 9:15 am.   Too excited to try to sleep right now.

Praying for everyone's safe travels tomorrow - these airlines will be so busy bringing families together!!       So proud of all these sailors!!   I can't wait to see everyone in uniform walking in together.
