Arwen had posted some statistics in the last couple of days of the chances of those getting into the Navy between the ages of 18-24.  She said that only 22 percent of that age group is qualified ---no arrests, physically capable and educationally qualified.  Out of those, less than 1/2 will have the ASVAB scores to get in.  So now they are in the top 10 percent of their age group. And out of those, not all make it through bootcamp...which means that those who graduate are in the top 8 percent.  So everyone here has alot to be proud of!

PreciousMom:  Hoping that she can make up whatever she didn't pass and go through BattleStations tomororw night with the next PIR group.  You have every reason to be so proud of her!  Praying that she is sitting in that balcony, in her dress blues, on Friday...and that you can see her face and hug her!

Vinnys mom and Precious...my boy said that (what he understands) is that if recruits hafta go through BS a second time and pass that they still graduate with their division...they just don't participate in the ceremony.
