yeah, I am sure they would be much harder on them. I thought it was weird that there are so many PIR groups with no special ops. And yes we do have beautiful fall colors. Many of the leaves have fallen already but it is still very pretty. We had planned on going to Pigeon Forge today for a girls shopping day but my 16 yr old has to be at work by 5 so we are heading to Asheville. Everyone have a great Veterans Day!!!!

Lala - maybe they were more sevear on the Spec Ops kids cause they busted them for everything! Including colored envelopes. hahaha - B always thought it was funny until the day he got the first musical card hahahaha =-) then it was not soo funny! Oh North Carolina... Ill bet you have had a beautiful fall! I lived many years in the hills of Tennesse (Pigeon Forge)

My sailor, who gets on this site, said what the heck are they talking about. We all got colored envelopes and nothing happened. So, I am sure it will be fine. I think when the RDC wants to hassle one of the SR's he/she will find something to use, it could be their accent, the way they walk, or a colored envelope, it could be almost anything at all. They are just pushing them and trying to take the civilian out of them. I wouldn't worry about colored envelopes. My sailor said one of the SR's got a box of homemade cookies and candy bars; he had to do push-ups for a really long time lol while the RDC's ate the cookies. He even told him to thank his mom for the cookies, they were very good. He took the candy to his office and when the SR's did something really good he would make them think they were in trouble and call them to his office. Then he would give them a mini kitkat bar lol.

Nurse - Im glad to see you are better! That form letter is on its way I just know it! Hopefully she will have written a little note at the bottom. Of course my sons little note was not very encouraging hahaha! But see his writing was great. We will get going on the MnG soon....

newhorizon - well, make fun and possibly extra PT.... Dont worry.... its part of it. Boxes and music cards are the worse!

ericsmom- we sent regular photos to our SR. She even wrote a letter and had a list of the ones she wanted me to send. They were the 4x6 prints. I guess everyone in their group told something about where they came from that they thought was different or unusual. She told them that we have white squirrels. No one believed her, especially not the RDC so she had me send proof. Then a few weeks later we had my parents 50th wedding anniversary/family reunion and we took a group photo of everyone there and the kids in the front were holding up a sign that said WE MISS YOU. She was very happy to have the pics. And several have made signs and hung them around a pets neck and took a pic and sent it to their SR. Here is one of the pics we sent her.
