well everyone I know we are all adjusting to this new life we have with our kids being gone.. but lets take a few min. to laugh at the positive things.... who has noticed
more leftovers in the frige?
not so many clothes and the towels really still in the bathroom..
and no dirty clothes on the floor in the bathroom.
that 20 dollar bill is still in my wallett...whats up with that?
the dog is loving on me more than ever..
I dont hear the game playing all night in the sourand sound system...
and when I hear the sirens off in a distance my heart does not skip a beat.

that all are the good things to look at while we are going through one of the hardest times in our lifes... but we saw children leave and now we will see adults when they come back.. with the honor of being SAILORS.... wow what a wonderfull feeling.. I am sooooo Proud...

okay yall ready to memorize this for PIR --- when you hear it you will cry I promise you!!! I did:

Stand, Navy, out to sea, fight our battle cry;
We'll never change our course, so vicious foe steer shy -y-y-y
Roll out the TNT, Anchors Aweigh, Sail on to victory;
and sink their bones to Davy Jones, hooray!

Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh
Farewell to foreign shores, we sail at break of day, of day
Through our last night on shore, drink to the foam
Until we meet once more, Heres wishing you a happy voyage home

OH Anchors Aweigh my boys Anchors Aweigh Farewell to foreign shores we sail at break of day of day
Through our last night on shore, drink to the foam
Until we meet once more, heres wishing you a happy voyage home!!!!

When the Sailors at my sons PIR broke out in song to this I cried my eyes out... you could hear the pride in each word!!!!!!

Well I smelled too. But to be honest it just smelled like the back pack he took Are we all weird or what? It's okay. I was actually ok until I opened the letter today and read his 4 lines. I bawled like a baby! His younger sister who was with me said," they write what they can't always say." In this era of cell phones and emails it is so amazing to see a handwritten note-"love You lots". Are we so fortunate to experience this? Just think of all those kids out there that never say it or have the opportunity to write to their families and really say what they feel.

Thanks Becki and Lydia... I've just about printed everything from the Forum and will read it to my husband when we turn in for the night. It catches him up on all the stuff I've been reading.

I am here to help as well. If anyone has any questions just let me know. I have a sailor daughter (AO) and a sailor son-in-law (IT). They met during DEP, a month later she went to boot camp, they got engaged right after boot camp, a month after bootcamp they got married (she was in A-school) 4 days later he left for bootcamp and is now going to a-school tomorrow. My head is spinning, talk about a roller-coaster. I swear there is something in the water up there. Y'all better be prepared. Seems like they either break up or get married. :-) lol... It has been a wild ride for sure. I am also the person who makes ribbons to wear to PIR and Navy Scrapbook embellishments. You can see sample pics on my page. If you have any questions at all just send me a friend request. Thanks
