Kewl PHONE CALLS!!!!!  hoooooooooooooooooyaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Vinnys Mom...  there will be several Sailors up in the bleachers for one reason or another.  He certainly wont be alone.  And the length of time they must stand at attention after marching is amazing... my son was a stick (flag bearer) and I watched him through my binocs the whole time... I was so afraid for them but they did great!  Many of them pass out and the body snatchers pull them out.  Better he not be one of those guys that gets snatched out!  We just want him to pass and be done!   You and he will be just a proud of his accomplishment believe me!

Woow - its almost over and yet not over.... just really beginning!

(Ship 12 Div 037)

Thank you all for your kind words & prayers. I don't know the name of the other SR in his division this happened to but I'm glad he was able to re-take his running test. I won't know if my son is graduating until AFTER the ceremony!

I'm off of the computer now until tomorrow. Prayers to all going into BS tonight.

Ok, so the shock of the phone call is wearing off.

I wanted to post that the Officer who got on the phone to explain the situation to me and apologized for the mistake. He said this happened to another recruit earlier today. They caught the error, and he had time to retake the running test. He told me the Battle Stations for Thursday night begin at 8pm and will go until 8am on Friday. Those doing BS on Thursday wont be able to march because of fatigue and liability, but they will be in the bleachers.

Also, Vinny said his division (ship12 div 037) won a flag and this means they get an additional hour of liberty on Friday night. He said they don't have to be back in until 9pm. I heard him confirm this with the Officer.

At the end of the call I told him I have tucked my cell phone in my bra so I wouldn't miss his call...it was at this point he informed me I was on SPEAKER PHONE!
