My son loked at his order form over the weekend, and noticed that it didn't list the yearbook either- but he said " oh, that was included on the $140 package". He had to pay extra for the DVD

No Jan...we haven't heard anything yet....I just spoke to his girlfriend and she didn't hear anything either...I know they are fine but I feel like a kitten on a hot tin roof !!

Does anyone know anything about the picture packages and the yearbook? My son got the higher priced package but it doesn't list the yearbook. He also ordered the dvd and some frames and the poor guy spent over $200. but I just looked at the order form and the cruisebook is not checked off..There is a frame called anchors away and I think he thought that was the yearbook..I remember awhile ago people saying that you couldn't order it after the fact...anyone know anything about this ???

Sounds like a lot of baggage... she has to see  what she is getting into.
Comment by scuttlebutt1015 on January 11, 2011 at 8:35pm

that would be the case, she will do what she wants when she wants, she always has. I don't dislike him. he has a lot of his personal life to clean up before he adds my daughter into it. (job, car, he has a son that he never sees, his x is no good). If he was busting his a-- to get his life together I would have less of a problem with it. I would like her to bring some one home that is the perfect  guy, someone like her daddy,  maybe there isn't one. :(

Scuttle, that is so hard. I wish there was an easy answer. If you buck her getting married, I will bet that will push her into wanting to do it more. If you express you dislike this boy or that they have not known each other long enough, it will likely push them together more. Getting her to look at her situation logically may or may not help. I would confront her about what I heard, and ask her some basic questions... where are you going to live? Income? How they will manage being separated during possible deployment? Has she thought about all this? I wish I had an easy answer and wish I could help. I can see you believe she is making a  mistake. I am afraid if you let on too much, she will be pushed to go ahead and marry and it will estrange you from her.

We came home last night, very long trip. I just found out today that my daughter is planning on getting married soon. She has not told me but that's what I here from the grape vine. why do they feel the need to get married quickly because they are in the military? She has not known this boy long, but she is saying she loves him. how do you get through to them that they need to think things through before taking that jump. If her boyfriend  had his life together maybe it would be different. his personal life is a mess, and my daughter is moving up in the world, and he isn't. any suggestions . I need help.
