For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I will be praying for them and for you & your families. I hope & pray that they don't take too long processing them out so they can get home quickly after all of this.

That decision is so very admirable and we are grateful. It is not easy to get in the Navy these days nor to stay in---it is overmanned so they can enact any rules that they want to. He did his best....and the Lord has other plans for him now. But I have no doubt that what he learned in Bootcamp, he will take with him in his future. Yes, it is very sad that this happened so close to graduation....I'm so sorry. Praying that he can be home again soon....and that his departure will not be something dragged out.

Ladies please thank your sons for wanting to serve their country and for wanting to do something that is bigger than themselves. Everything it took within them for them to get this far is very special and I pray that they remember that after they have gone through this loss.

I don't understand how they let him get to a week before graduating and DQed him now. It was always in Gods hands. You all have been great and I thank you for all the support and laughs I will pray for all your SR's. I guess it can take a while for them to come home after this, like I said I don't understand any of it. Thanks again girls! Much love to all of you!

There is clear documentation about what is waiberable and what is not. Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to insect bites is a non-waiverable medical issue and they should know that.
