for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Farmers Almanac weather prediction for Great Lakes:
1st-3rd. Rain or wet snow Great Lakes.
4th-7th. Stormy over the nation’s mid-section, heavy precipitation sweeps up through the Ohio Valley, then fair but cold.
8th-11th. Increasingly cloudy, but still pleasant.
Remember to dress in layers for PIR. The PIR Hall could be warm, the outside chilly. So you want to shed layers as needed! The wind off of the Lake very close by can be a bit brutal at times~ probably won't be bad though this early in Nov!
Have fun NavyMOMT! I have to go shopping for underwear also for my SR :) He asked for new ones so that he can toss the tightie whities immediately :) Taking my daughter to the mall this weekend to buy some winter attire for PIR.
Good morning! Yes, getting so very close now. I think these next couple of weeks are going to be absolutely crazy! I swear the excitement and anticipation is almost too much :) Does anybody else feel like their nerves are a bit worse than these last several weeks? I guess the beginning and the end of boot camp are the most stressful on me. Hopefully it's mail day today & tomorrow. I am so praying for some good news from my son.
Good Morning Everyone!
Good Morning everyone, another day closer!
I am crying tears of Joy seeing my son's Ship and Division (now that I know it).

I'm sorry I posted it so late. Not sure if you still have time to mail it to them.
You could make one and have them fill it out on Liberty though.
jenn....so glad you got to talk to him! Can I ask a favor please to keep within guidelines on this site? Can you copy/paste your post that includes a SR's last name, delete the name (you can use initials and hometown) and then delete the original post? Thanks. We cannot expose any recruit names on this site publicly. You CAN share them by private message on here though.
