N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

PIR was so amazing and I thought we would pop our buttons because we were so proud. Easy to tell they do it every week. Iused my wheelchair because of a lot of walking. Everyone was very kind and respectful. We sat in one of the Wheelchair sections on the floor, but still saw our sailor easily.
We ended staying at the Red Carpet dump. It was gross and the kid at the front desk was a jerk. Our daughter flew into O'Hare at 7 AM from Baltimore and got to the Dump Inn at 3 PM and he would not let her into our room knowing we would not be there until 11PM. So she waited at the McDonqlds. The McD people were very gracious as were the folks at Flanagans. On all material for PIR weekend Red Carpet Inn Dump needs to removed completely. They know theyll make money evry weekend so figure they can be jerks. Besides that it was a wonderful time with our Sailor an so good to see him and his siter. This sight has been a wealth of information

Good morning, first let me say Awesome to the tenth power PIR! I never been so proud or impressed. Ever by a group! ,waiting to leave to get son for last day, going to not think about tonight. Diannep, did not take the hint,  drove from Navy Lodge, surprisely, no real issues, got right in parking was in the parking garage and when exited led right to graduation hall. now of course u know I left at 6am, was in bleacher by 7, but then 2 hour wait, they have beverages and snacks, and some sweatshirts, 370 was sold out , but got web address to order so if someone wants to order I will post later, diannep they did have everyone entering from same direction all I saw was 1 line, there are ALOT of signs where no left turns. Sorry some had trouble, Sarge's meet and greet was so much fun! I won basket, food great going leave his number for son, if you not staying at Navy Lodge I would definitely take shuttle, best way to go. Off to get my Sailor, Did I say all u Admi\moderators, love you, would have never made it this far without u!  Check back later!

Congrats to your new sailors!  I hope all have enjoyed visiting with them!

Question:  For those of you who went to Sarge's MeetandGreet....did he suggest a driving hint for PIR.....staying to the left on Buckley headed to RTC, bypassing RTC, and turning around near the train station, heading back from the opposite direction, with a no-wait left turn onto RTC?  If so, did any of you try it and did it work?  I ask because we have been passing along this hint for a very long time now, have received great feedback from it, and then recently were told by a family that they were "waved off" by the RTC road personnel when they approached from this opposite side and told to go all the way back down Buckley, turn around, and come in through the car line.  I reported this to RTC and was told that they have been getting some complaints about RTC road personnel not being very cooperative, seeming to be quite frustrated---they are asking that any families who had an experience with any RTC personnel who were uncooperative and not helpful...please report it to RTC....anonymously if you want to....they just want to know about your experience.

I just want to see if anyone used this driving hint and if so, did it work?  RTC did not say it was not allowed.  After all, it is possible that some may be approaching from this opposite direction anyway due to where they are staying.

Any feedback would be appreciated!  Also, any feedback on other info we passed on to you that was "right on" or "incorrect" would be greatly appreciated.  We want to pass on accurate info to the future PIR groups.

Thanks!  And....Good Morning!

Thanks, nlover4real.  We do recommend Sarge for those who will not rent a car.  Sorry you didn't know about him before you took the cab!   But glad you found him for your return ride!

I really had a blast yesterday at PIR. Everything was wonderful. I had the pleasure of meeting Sarge today he was my ride to the airport. He was so nice and his company was alot cheaper and nicer than the cab we took from the airport. American taxi tried to over charge us when we got to our destination and was rude. I think the veteran moms should let everyone know that they should go with Sarge and his company very nice man.

Amazing:  You will be able to find out the meaning of the cords from your new sailor in just a few minutes!  I believe the red cords are for the RDCs though!

Amazing: 800 divisions are Special Operations (they don't perform)

900 divisions are the performing divisions, either on the Hall floor or behind the scenes.
