Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 421 and 422

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello Everyone.  I would love to talk to other parents whose SR is in this division.  My son is in division 421 and his name is Bryan.  He left on September 9th from Virginia.  We are planning to attend PIR and have made our reservations at the Navy Lodge.  Not sure how much room we will have, but if there is anyone who wants to car pool to the base on Friday - we would love to have people ride with us.

Looking forward to graduation.  Just finished writing a letter and missing my son like crazy.

Hello, my son is in division 422 and his name is Michael.  He arrived in GL on  September 10th from Washington state.  We just made our reservations at Navy Lodge this weekend, the price was right!  My son called us Saturday morning at 5:45 (our time) and it was great to hear from him since we had not talked to him since that first 20 second call.  He told us that he's over the homesickness part but he does miss his dog and horse.  We will be purchasing our plane tickets this evening, probably Southwest Airlines and we are so looking forward to PIR!  We hope to meet other parents while at PIR.

Have a beautiful day!

Hi Michael's mom...I am Richie's Mom...My son is also Division 422 and he too called Saturday morning, around 9 am. our time in NY.  I MISSED HIS CALL!!!!!!!!   I was SOOOO upset.  He did call his father after trying me and got to speak to him.  He said call didnt last long and Richie sounded like he wanted to cry but wouldn't let himself.  I swear, that phone will be stuck to my body at all times from now on.  I cannot afford to miss any other calls.

I miss that kid so much

Hi! my husband is division 422 too. He called also last Saturday morning.. his voice sounded different when we talked..so I asked if he's okay.. then he said he's doing good but super homesick.. he felt like crying the whole conversation. I wanted to cry too but didn't because I need to be strong for him so he won't worry about me and our 1 year son. But he was in tears and cracked voice when he was asking about our baby...he said he really misses us but needs to be strong for us. I married a great man! I'm praying every time for his safety and success.

Hi Richie's mom, they are calling today. I hope you will get to talk to him this time. I just got off from my husband's call. He said their division is doing great. He sounded way much better than the last call himself. I hope youll get the call this time.

Do you know what there is to do around there for when our boys are on liberty?  I have to look into it, just havent had much time.  We booked rooms at Navy Lodge also...you were right, the price was right!!

Hi...my son is also division 421, his name is Anthony. We live northeast of Philadelphia. I too received a call from my son this past Saturday , it was nice hearing from him. It's all so nerve wracking and exciting all at the same time. We also purchased Southwest tickets and made reservations at the Navy Lodge...lol . While I miss my son, all I want is for him to succeed, I know he's working hard . He told me he often stays up late to complete his homework assignments, I like that :)

I write a letter everyday, but like I told him today, I'm running out of things to talk about..lol. So your son has a horse, I used to own 2, but gave it up a few years ago, my second husband doesn't like horses...he has no idea what he's missing...am I right?!

So anyway..nice meeting you, hope to talk to you soon!!
Hi, my boyfriend/fiancé is in this division and his name is Ruben. Feel free to message me anytime. I hope to meet many of you soon. I made reservations at the Navy Lodge and will be attending PIR graduation with his mom, aunt and sister. Last call I received was last Wednesday and he said next call was 3 weeks maybe 1 week before PIR graduation...

Hi!!  My son is Richie and he is ship 13 division 422.  He left on 9/10 out of Albany, NY.

Hi All, below is link for  the US Navy RTC facebook page. Those who have facebook accounts may follow/liked their page for updates. They are also posting random recruit training photos there so check it from time to time. You may see your SR in one of the photos! They have also this Tuesday Trivia... and whoever answers first correctly will get a chance to request photo they want to be posted. So if one of us will be lucky enough to be picked, we can request our SR's division group photo so we can see them!!! :)

My son is Ship 13, Div 422.  His name is Damon.  Is anyone else in this group from Northern California?

My son is Ship 13 Div 422 as well and his name is Michael.  Not from California but we're from North Central Washington state!   Will you be going to PIR?  We just purchased out plane tickets and made reservations at Navy Lodge.
