Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 365 & 366.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Ok I got the scoop from my parents my son is going well, said he is AROC not sure what that is but he gets to sing the cadence and gets to eat last.  He says he bunkmate is from Texas and he really likes being able to meet people from all over.  Sounds like they get yelled at quite a bit but he says not too bad.  So glad that someone in the family has heard from him.  Whew!!! I can rest easier tonight just knowing. For those of you that haven't heard anything yet, keep your chin up.

Mail just came, no letter from my SR yet, maybe tomorrow.  Sooner or later we will all get them.

Just got 2 letters from my SR!!!! I was thrilled!  The first letter, he sounds very upbeat!  Says there are a group of recruits not following directions or listening.  I guess there was an issue about some of the recruits staying up at night and their RDC came in and was not happy.  His second letter sounded very sad.  His division got into trouble again, some recruits were caught hanging around in the bathroom instead of being at reville.  Hopefully things will turn around soon!

Have any of you made hotel reservations yet? I just found out last night that I'm definitely going to graduation (this is my son's best friend-no family but a brother).  I wasn't sure if another family was going or not. As it turns out, the mom and son from that family, myself and his brother are going. I'm glad since I wanted to see him graduate. I'm so proud of him for wanting to serve his country and giveing himself a chance to see the world.

Call Sarge 847-212-0246 he runs a taxi service and does the Meet and Greet at the Sundance, he will help you. He is a great guy and a great help, not only to those who attend his M&G, but also to the sailors who stay in GL for school.

I am a Mom from Maryland.  Recieved my first 2 handwritten letters on Friday.  Question my SR is staying in Great Lakes for A school and I read right after graduation for 5 hours he will be moving to another ship but will have liberty with us after that on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Does anyone know since Monday is Veteran's Day observed will he have liberty on Monday to spend with us.  I want to book my flight for Monday early am but if he can spend Monday with us I want to fly out on Tuesday morning instead of Monday am.  Any insite would be greatly appreciated.

Please.go to the Main Wall of the PIR group. That is the main group for this date. I posted an answer there.

I am so sorry I cannot find the Main Wall of the PIR group......can you post the link for me please

Here you go:
http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir11092012

This discussion you are on is a DISCUSSION FORUM topic that has to do with your division. It is within the GROUP for this PIR. Just a little FYI. :-) Hope it helps in navigating.
The Main Wall is the best place to ask questions of the veteran moms. We have seven PIR groups running at a time so we don't get to the discussions as much as we like to search for them. Plus we like to leave it for you all to chat and share about your division :-).
Oh, once you get there just scroll down the page and you will see a Comment Box to post a reply on.
My son will also be staying in GL for A School and just in case we might get to see him longer we are flying out Mon at 6.

Hi Ladies,

Been real busy at work that I haven't had a chance to be on on here. I received my first letter on Friday 9/28 he let me know everything so far is going good. He got an infection on his foot and it got swollen pretty bad but didn't go into details how he got it. He was on bed rest for one day and had to wear tennis shoes instead of his boots. Also said he was a Section Leader and he has made a couple good friends so far and that a SR with them sings really good and they are becoming good friends. He seems happy even though he started his letter that this place sucks but his letter ended positive. He loves the food and said the workouts weren't as bad as he thought. I was happy to hear he was doing great. I hope all you ladies have received letters from you SR.....

Hi Angelica,

That is great!!  We received our letters Friday also.........my son said bootcamp sucks too but what broke my heart was he said he is not lonely anymore because he has made lots of friends.........awwww my baby was lonely :(  never heard him say that before....he did make a joke and say "Mom they curse like hard core sailors here LOL".........so he still has his sense of humor....that made me happy..........our boys might be buddies.
