Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 367 & 368.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

It is only about 1.5 miles

Ok I called the hotel here is the deal...there is a "shuttle"/limo.  It is first come first serve.  It is $6.50/pp.  You can NOT reserve it...I just thought of some more things so I probably will call back.

If your hotel doesn't have a shuttle you can always call sarge he has free shuttles from certain hotels and is very inexpensive from other ones. Instead of renting a car we will be shuttled frim ohare roundtrip for a hundred bucks.

I booked a room at the Red Carpet Inn. I would hope it's okay lol. I saw it on the brochure that he sent me with his form letter. The good thing I liked about it is that it's 1 mile from base, has a shuttle to PIR, free breakfast and was cheap, like $59/night. Could be a total dump but at this point I could care less - I just want to see my sailor!!

I am sure the hotels will all be fine, and if not, hey it's not like you have to live there forever!  I will be too excited to spend time with my hubby to nitpick too much on the hotel room!

i agree there...i dont care what it looks like lol...i just want to see himmmmm! LOL

We booked ours at the Holiday Inn Express in Libertyville!

I think  had already said, but I'm staying at the Red Carpet Inn. It's 1 mile from base, was reasonable, and has a shuttle to PIR. Man I wish you were staying at thesa me place as me! lol...It def has a shuttle though, I called to check...no matter what I'm sure I'll see you at PIR :)

Thanks for the info. I was looking at roundtrip flights from Phildelphia to O'Hare and they're around $330....I saw Southwest flies into Midway, which would be nice because they're trips are much cheaper. Maybe I'll look into that and just get a rental car...

I got my SR's letters today!! :)

My son is in same div, but I've been working out of town all this week. So I can't wait to check the mail when I get home Friday. Hope, hope, hope there's a letter!

Wow, congrats to those who received their letters! Patiently waiting for mine. :)
