so, my SRs first call time didn't go as she had always planned it would! the plan was to call dad's cell first (cuz its ALWAYS reliable). that went straight to vm due to no battery which is very rare! second attempt was to my cell..of course in the sticks, i get a vm msg w/ no missed call. third time the charm...called the house land line - bingo-showed up "pay phone" her brother answered & there she was! oh how i wish i'd had control of my mind when i had her on the line! but, she sounded well at the end & she's counting down days til PIR too! excited about the division being not so divided & learning to work together.
im so happy for all you that have had multiple calls, it gives me hope. i certainly will be ready for the next w/ my pocket list of questions. i was just so overjoyed to hear her speak!
Plus, I haven't been on in a while so some of it had to do with posts that I had back read :-)
I didn't mean to cause any kind of uproar lol, or to piss anyone off - I was just merely venting a bit. I just found it disappointing that I couldn't get to finish what his letter said because he had made mention that he had to keep getting up because of other's mistakes. Oh well. All i know is that he's one of the well behaved lol - and I know it's hard because he's a bit older, and the guys around him are below his age....nonetheless, I just hope things get better - I want those letters to be long and uninterrupted lol....I can surely understand it's probably hard to adjust for some of those guys - needless to say, there's always the ones who love to be the class clown, and repeatedly always get in trouble....
Got a call from my son...wonderful to hear his voice:)
There was a mention of "holding the PIR date" I believe?
Whole divisions do not get "Set back". That is a "motivational threat" just in case your recruit writes home about it.
Asmo or Assignement Memorandum happens on an individual basis. Here is an excerpt from the Family Guide from RTC:
While a division’s graduation date will not change, an individual Recruit’s graduation date may change based on performance, which is why we suggest families purchase refundable tickets when possible.
(Bold and italics mine). Uhh, and we...umm... kind of disagree about the refundable tickets. WAY too expensive (even with change fees it can be less costly) BUT you won't need them anyways because all of your recruits are going to graduate on time!
I am truly sorry I have been away for a while. I had my Hubby home for three days and he has been working VERY hard lately. So we "played" for a few days!

Kim - I have never "gotten" the tighty-whitey thing. Who WEARS those anymore. I personally have a theory that they are trying to get rid of all of the tighty whiteys left in the world and this is the way to do it! LOL
We have had MANY a discussion about underwear on the PIR group LOL.
They will be the first thing that they get rid of on PIR day once on LIberty!
