Karen, yes it was amazing. I'm so thankful. It made me feel so much better about everything. I just wrote him too and said the same thing !! Yeah it was kind of hard to hear him as well. We both had so much to say in so little time, but it was a good one. It sounded like there was a lot going on. They better start practicing their coordination !!
Kassandra, isn't it wonderful to just hear their voice? I just wrote to him and told him that they need to get it together, he said marching is an issue, but was so amazed just listening to him I really didn't ask too many questions and it was somewhat hard to hear him.
Those of you who have't got a call yet. Hang tight. There are long lines, they can be there for awhile. Just make sure you are somewhere with good reception so it comes through!!
yes, my heart feels whole again hearing his voice. Its been so different not hearing it for so long. So I couldnt be happier. Ugh I feel so relived. That was the best surprise. But DIV 366 needs to pull it together so we can get more/longer phone calls !!! Come on guys !!
She did not say why she had to go to medical. She had just finished physical therapy a few weeks before she left for a sprained ankle she got while playing softball in school. I wonder if something flared up with that. She had been running everyday at the park to get in shape and doing push ups and sit ups. And she's always been very athletic, she played softball, volleyball and was a cheerleader in school and also did gymnastics, karate and figure skating. She was very fit. I am really mystified at what could have happened.
karens, I've got to ask. Did your son say if he's written to you or not?
i've still got nothing. bummed as a mom can be. is no news kinda sorta like better than bad news?
anndrya, I hope you and Juliette get your calls. I can remember how anxious my son's girlfriend was whenever the calls started to come through. As much as I wanted to spend the whole time talking to my son, I would always ask him if he had talked to her yet. If not, I would end the call soon after so he could call her. It seemed to be so much harder on her than on me that I wanted her to be able to talk to him as long as possible. Good luck. I hope the call comes soon.
My motto when my Sailor was in bootcamp was answer every call. most of the calls I got from her said 847 for the area code but there was one call that she got to make from the RDC's office because she had missed a call after having her wisdom teeth pulled that had a different area code that I almost didn't answer. So glad I did. And when I got a telemarketer call or a call from someone I didn't care to talk to I programed them into my phone as "don't answer" lol am sure it is even worse for all of you with election time being so close. The do not call list has NO meaning at all.
omg! i hope he calls soon! im so anxious!!
