For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the timeto read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Div 367 moms: They gas chambered Friday. He said it's the craziest way he's ever felt in his life. This Tues was the PFA and Wed the 3rd test.

Amom: Your call date will not be the same as karens' date--different divisions. The most divisions to go through BattleStations at one time is 4. Be sure to read the BattleStations info in this link:

So keep that phone handy from now on.. God Speed to all our SRs.

I have not heard from her yet, so holding to no news is good news. So I am adding your daughter to that list of prayer things. She can do it, she just needs to relax. Keep encouraging her. They will be fine, I can feel it.

She will have another chance on Wed if it doesn't happen on Monday---is she sure she doesn't get to try again tomorrow?. They usually get to try M-W- F. Sounds like she is in FIT division. Have you joined that group? The ladies on there are very helpful and supportive. Here's the link:

If she passes by Wed, she will be at PIR. She will do Battlestations with the next group (even if in the next PIR group) and be there. So don't cancel any plans! Prayers for her!
