diannep- sending love and prayers his way!
diannep - Praying, praying!
I just went and looked at the link and it said that the infection was in his leg. An abscess. The blessing to it? Since the blood flow to the rest of his body from that leg isn't great it was contained there. Right now it looks like the infection did not travel. Prayers that they got it all and it did not get any further!
Ladies, urgent prayers today for Brett please. He has developed an infection, 103 temp, they can't find the infection but are concerned with his right leg (remember, artery to it was severed by bullet and no blood flow for 16 hours...problems now). They have had to sedate him again and the drs are referring to today as a "day of great concern" for him. PRAY HARD! Thanks so much. He is still critical...11 days after the tragedy.
karens: Single (widow) woman here too....I couldn't wait on my older son to put up my hurricane shutters back in August---he was tied up securing his workplace which is a NASCAR Speedway..so it was going to take hours... a hurricane was on its way....so I bit the bullet, hauled the metal panels up through my house (2 story), took screen out of an upstairs window, slid all of the panels (LOTS .... had 7 windows to do, each taking about 4-8 panels) onto the flat roof, went outside and climbed the ladder onto first floor roof and put them up. YIKES! Scary...pitched roof to stand on is no fun. Had to call son who was busy at work for a "problem" with one window...got a lecture for being on the roof....well, a woman does what a woman has to do! It was the perfect time to put them up with no wind and rain yet...so I did it....YEAH! Male neighbor walked by with his dogs, hands on hips, and gave an unapproving stare at me. But did he offer to help ? NOOOO....but I did call him to hold the ladder as I climbed down (yes, was smart enough to take cell up there with me). With temps in the high 90s the afternoon, I was a drenched and exhausted rat by the time I finished. But it was DONE.....I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR! HOOYAH!
...as you did not do !
karens: I am so impressed! You are ready to weather a hurricane down here in S. FL with all you did! Hoping that all prepare as you do, but also hoping that it won't be as bad as it could be. Prayers!
mr.jane.rad: Yes, be there early! On a shuttle from the hotel between 6:30 and 7 (or earlier) or in the car line by 6 a.m. Traffic gets pretty fierce if you wait until after 7 to do this, especially with a group of 12 divisions graduating. We had 9 divisions at my son's, we were on the 6:30 shuttle from the hotel, bypassed the car line (shuttles do) and were at the gate by 6:40, arrived at the PIR Hall at a few minutes after 7....already a good number of people there...so be early.
wow just looked at the count down- 11 more days time flew by. I am excited to see my son in his uniform. I am so proud.
Thank you for having this page it help alot and know everyone is going thru the same emotions. thank you again. ; )
Gates to base open at 6:30am, entrance to hall opens at 7:00am I believe you have to be seated by 8:45 and it starts at 9:00am. Can;t wait to see all of us proud families there! All that is left is to wait for the "I'm a Sailor" call when they complete Battlestations.
And should we be there at a certain time, early?
Also, maybe I have this info somewhere, but does anyone know what time graduation starts? Thanks!!
