WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I want to dress up I'm just worried its going to be cool. I'm like you Jenny I think the days are slowing down. But we will get there.

I can't believe it's been so fast....actually, I can. Haha, it almost seems like the days now are getting longer and slower as I count down. Anyway, haven't gotten a call or letter....hopefully I'll know the password and everything by PIR. I was just about to ask Cindi's exact question! I have been searching days and days for an outfit and am still struggling. Maybe dress and tights? Hmmm.

Jenny M'smom - There has been no change in policy. The RTC has never guaranteed any greater than the 4 on each list for any PIR, though they try to accommodate as many guests as possible. The announcement was just a heads up that the 11/30 PIR is too large to permit extra guests. Dismiss the chatter as there has not been any announcement for any other upcoming event.

What are you all wearing? Jeans or Dress pants.

A question for the veterans- on the RTC facebook page they posted tonight that extras will not be allowed for the 11/30 PIR because there are 15 divisions graduating.  Why would they post this if they had changed policy and extras are no longer allowed in for any PIRs according to discussions earlier this week.  Does that mean extras should come for 11/9 PIR?  I'm rather confused and some family members are having a hard time finalizing plans.  Any input would be great.  Thanks.

Our SR said they won a All Star flag...What does this mean....

Comment by ochaos on October 24, 2012 at 9:14pm

They tend to stop writing about 10 days out from PIR and you should also stop writing especially if you know they will be going somewhere else for school. Make sure you read the "proper behavior" info as you would not want to get your SR in trouble,

Enjoy PIR it is a blast!

glad my SR went in unattached as far as I know.  Less to worry about.
