WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

diannep, please keep us posted on Brett. How sad but so like our Navy boys to step in and protect. That's why they are in the Navy in the first place, right? On a lighter note, congrats on your son getting a new job. Was it the one you told me about? Hope it works out well for him.  FTLW, I just sent my son a  care package of cookies. I had heard that we shouldn't send any food yet and I told my son that. He said send them and it would be fine. Once the package arrived, he grabbed out a bag of cookies, handed it to the guys in charge and shared the rest with all his new buddies.

Thanks ladies. I was looking for one that says proud navy mom.

...actually, Brett has made it through 7 of those 15 hours so the next 8 hours are critical...he is almost there.  Pray hard, ladies!  Thanks so much!

*I have told his mom...*

If you would like a division Navy tshirt, designed by the SRs in that division, here is the website to order:

www.usnavytees.com

Update on Brett:  Surgery completed around 1 a.m.  Bullet went under ribcage and hit aorta....sigh...massive bleeding....transfusion.  He is critical and next 15 hours are critical as far as survival.  Dr said had he been older and not in such great shape (personal trainer in addition to Navy job), he would have died.  I have told him mom, my good friend, that there are 7 N4Moms groups of wonderful ladies praying for them.  She was so very grateful...so please keep praying!  Thanks!

Cindi are you talking about a "regular" navy t-shirt or sweatshirt? One that says navy, or proud navy __________?

If you are looking for the "regular kind and not a "division" t-shirt, I would recommend waiting to buy one until you are in Chicago. The NEX, which you will be able to shop at with your SR, literally has hundreds of them.

You can get them online at
