Woohoo, Juliette! Isn't it funny how things work out?
No problem with the divisions not "getting it together" because they all get there by PIR. Actually, by BattleStations they get it together! Remember, there are all ages and backgrounds in these divisions, lots of different personalities, trying to come together as a team. Lots of work for them...and the RDCs directing them!
So no worries....when you watch them at PIR, you will never believe that they didn't "come together!" Because they will be fantastic!
Ahh! I think he knew I was talking about him making his calls, cause I just got a quick 2 min phone call from my fiance - just a really fast call for me to overnight him some paper work he needs, but still so nice to hear his voice...he even squeezed in i love you, hahaha...I feel good again! :)
My fiance's letter that I read about his division was dated from last week lol....seems like they can't seem to get their act together - I don't care much anymore, I know my SR is well behaved and just wants out of there - best to not make friends and just focus on graduating with honor....he's got the right mindset.
Okay. Yeah, I wasn't really concerned about hearing from him from now up until graduation anyways - I wasn't expecting a call. I was more concerned about getting the "I'm a sailor" call - something I don't want to not get. And lulovesjosh - my fiance's letter has send nothing great about his division lol (368) - he's always complaining about the nonstop nonsense, constant chatter when they're not supposed to be talking, and always getting punished for it...he said if training there was more than 2 months he'd say screw it LOL....
Keep positive ladies. After week 4 things are often supposed to click and a transformation in the divisions takes place. With the long lag time btwn what happens and when we get letters they could be working well together by now.
Juliette, as hard as it is try not to worry. They often get promised phone calls early just to have them taken away. It takes time for them to reach the point of making those first calls and it usually isn't until about the 4th week they are there that the calls start to come in. Even if they do loose a call it would be the I'm a Sailor call. They would only lose that call if they really screwed up right after battle stations or the capping ceremony and that is very unlikely. I'm sure you will get your calls but the waiting is soooo hard.
Juliette, no, they will get to make their "I'm a Sailor" call, so don't worry about that. They may just not get to make a call between now and then. Chances are that you wouldn't hear from them now, until that call anyway.
Happy Birthday to your son, Lala. Welcome to the club! (Parents of 30 somethings, that is, lol.) I agree, he is a very good looking young man.
So someone over on that facebook page is saying that Div 368 had all their phone call privileges taken away. Has anyone else heard this one? My fiance never mentioned it in his last letter to me (he just said div 367 & 368 were extremely misbehaved - what else is new?) - so...if this IS true...does that mean they can't make their "I'm a sailor" phone call? What the heck....
Hello Everyone! Happy Birthday to all who have birthday's this month!!
