WELCOME TO PIR 11/09/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

That's great! I'm doing well actually. I always have my "moments" lol, but nonetheless I've been fine. It gets a bit easier as time goes on. We're hittin' the homestretch here...it actually surprises me when I look at the time and how fast it really went. I felt like I was just dropping him off to go yesterday. Are you all booked up and set for PIR?

Lisa you will need to call public affairs, I think the number is listed on your form letter. If not Diannep has it as well. You will have to give them the old password in order for them to give you the new password.

So how do they earn phone calls? Or is it scheduled? Do they lose the privy or just hit or miss depending on the lines' length?

Hello everyone. I have a question. When My daughter got asmo'd back one week and not graduating on the 2nd of Nov but on the 9th now do I still use the password they gave me for the parking pass. Or will it be different now...If it is going to be different how do I get the new password...

Today will be pretty much like any Sunday. They do get some down time but not really. They don't really spend it training but they can't just do whatever they want either. They cannot sleep or nap, the clean or shine their boots etc, they can write letters, study, have watch etc.Hang in there it will hopefully get easier when you start getting more letters and calls :-)

Comment by Juliette on October 8, 2012 at 10:41am

So what's today like for our SRs? I know it's a holiday...so do they perhaps get any down time or anything? I was curious. Thank god for it being the midway point. I'm trying to hang on by a thread here. The more days go by, the more I miss him. Ugh....

America, call all your friends and your families friends. If they all know what you are trying to raise money for maybe they will have some things you can do like clean house, babysit, pet watching etc. Ask for extra hours at work and you could also have a yard sale. Where there is a will there is a way :-)
