@Toni, thanks so much. I can *hear* he is doing good and 'chugging" along. Those are his words and I thought it was cute. He brings a smile to my face, I can just *hear* it as I read it.

@kg you may be right, I knew it only took two days from the "box." I can't wait to get more now!! Happy tears that is for sure.

@Tobianne, I can understand what you are saying. I have a son from a teenage marriage and he is married with two daughters. They are now 11 and 13 years old. My K's are Kyle-18, Korey-16 and Kacy-14! It is just weird, they are just two more kids around when we see them which isn't very often. We don't see them but maybe three times a year! Not kidding, long story and don't need to go there. We did have them for a week this summer and that was good. MY DIL went on the cruise with me and 25 other gals last month. We had a blast!! Now, we have Diego's girlfriend, Kelsey and she fits into our family perfectly. They have an awesome and special relationship. Will it work out? Only God knows that answer, but if I know the kids, they will. They have something rare and Kevin and I have that too. So, things are in God's plan and not ours. Hang in there, will keep you in prayer. Gotta go do a Varsity football dinner! The obys eat well on Thursdays and today is pot luck so we don't know what will come.

sharon- yup post date oct 5th that means i wont get mine until tomorrow or saturday...
Tobianne-Well your right about God choosing to bless them. It may have been "on purpose" i know what ya mean but the baby is coming regardless.... So i pray everything works out for your family:)
Toni- where is your daughter stationed? and whats her job?

Umm well I have said I am not old enough to be a granny!!! I have a 5 year old myself! But it is what it is. God has chosen to bless them with a child and who can fight that. She lives about 5 mins away. We are alright. There was some bad blood early on but I think we are past that. I know we should be I am. He is happy but I think the rest of the family thinks this was a "done on purpose thing" since he was enlisted already. I will not make that the issue.

@Tobianne, are you doing better about having a grandchild? How far does the GF live from you and how's your relationship with her? We have a great relationship with Kyle's GF. We love her as our own. I am sure she got plenty of letters, but I good with that. She needs them too. My postmark was Tuesday, the 5th and got them today. Can't wait for him to get our letters, he has plenty of reading to catch up on.

@dianne, How cool!!! He would have loved to have gone. He was hoping for a NROTC ride, but that didn't happen. He was told that if he "enlisted" they would look more favorably at him than one who wasn't. Well, you know that didn't happen, but he is good with going Nuke. He has a good head on his shoulders.

I am sure his grilfriend has more pages than I do, but I don't mind. We love her too and she stays with us when she is home from college. I am just excited that we all got letters today!!! We all love the same person, and he loves us too!!

ladies, I want to just say, when they say sent it really means went into the basket. So they most likely did not leave GL until Monday. Even possible late afternoon Monday. The east side of the country should be about a 1/2 day ahead of the west. Usually I got mine on Weds. So this is why I say it may have beem late on Monday. We will see after they start coming in.

My daughter said she wrote to her brother, she was a little nananah about it I am sure. They have always fought due to age not quite 2 years between them and he always was first to do everything. She left a status of Ha I am the winner this time, I was a Sailor first, but I still love you. She is just 18 and he 20. It is refreshing to know that she is writing to him, question is will he write her back!! lol
35 days, does not seem as long as when Kayla was suppose to PIR!! I am good though can make a go of the shorter time.

Hi ladies, well I received 2 letters today, 1 for mom and one for the G-F. You know mine was a half page and hers was about as thick as could be. lol mine consisted of momma do not forget to pay my bills and tell everyone I love them. I will take that. I am glad this time I do not have to feel as though I have to brunt all the concern!! The G-F can have it. Not sure if I mentioned that he is expecting a child in Feb (well she is actually) and for this momma was not happy!! So I am glad to share the concern with her.
LynnO- some parents are not close to recruiters or others that know about N4M. Also some may not have computers. I wish I could find them all and let them know about us. lol
